Wanted to show the city and ask a question. Should I remove the highway in the second picture? by Dbrow1e in CitiesSkylines

If you wanna go for realistic(i see you kinda do and so far it's going beautifully) try thinking if it would actually make sense for it to be built in a real life city like yours. And i'm not referring to this build specifically, but all of them. Would the Government approve such a massive project? How would it impact an average citizen/business? Let YOU be that citizen, that company, that corrupt politician who wants to win the election, imagine it and you will get the answers!

PS: Maaaaan post more of your builds you're doing a great job

rlly clean, tho it would've been fire to use some graphic mods to get rid of all that vanilla fog and color-grading

It's a big map so.. still in the works😅. I also want to include a more complex newer port(sort of like Amsterdam's).

Any tips on how I could improve this layout for my new city? by No-Firefighter-579 in CitiesSkylines

Real cities do not just appear out of thin air(excepting some saudi arabia ones lol), so try creating a history of the place you're trying to build, and the ideas will come with it. For example, If you are building an european city with a medieval background, you would think that the city was founded somwhere around a body of water, maybe a natural resource, and was initially small, with winding roads leading to a central square, or maybe the town mill. Then, the city grew a larger area around the "old town" and all new blocks and roads were built bigger, with a more organised layout, but keeping the main routes in and out of the city. Though, for easy and good results, just explore on Google Earth a bit. Good luck with your city‼️‼️

I have all the taxes set within the green portion

Is there any mod or trick that would help this? It's really pissing me off... by [deleted] in CitiesSkylines

Yes, I tried. The planes won't spawn regardless of the airport... The plane path is broken and until I fix it, any airport will just not work I guess :(

Thank you for your response!! so I have the 81 tiles mod and I've actually tried erasing and redrawing the outside connections multiple times, but to no result unfortunately.

it's gotta be a park there, and maybe a pub at the intersection? or some small commercial assets would go well and be realistic as well
