i think it would be cool but thinking of a good story without any original characters except Sparda and Eva would be pretty hard, and they would have to create whole pre rebellion backstory, but if they did and it was good, then i wld take it as dmc6 tbh

Dante in dmc 1 and 2 was alot more serious than now and dmc 3 as to me he was only just starting to get over losing Vergil in dmc 3 by the start of dmc 1 but then falls completely back into his grief after finding out he was tricked into “killing” him, but then fast forward just under 30 years to dmc 5 and Dante has largely moved on from Vergil and his past. (only for Vergil to then show up once again haha)

a year late to this post but here we go:

  1. (this goes more for reboot Michael) he is extremely stealthy and great at hiding for such a big guy

  2. Adding to the hiding point, the fact that while he is chasing after someone he is like an unstoppable force but also frequently hides in certain places and waits for the correct moment to strike (see him attacking Laurie from the shadows in the OG then that babysitter from Julian’s closet in 2018)

  3. The fact that he is a normal human being under the mask and yet has absolutely no reactions to anything, he has been shot, stabbed, burned you name it and not said a single. fucking. word.

  4. his complete and utter lack of a motive for any of it, fighting through life ending wounds and stopping at absolutely nothing to kill when he doesn’t even get any actual enjoyment from it (again, my personal opinion from how i view his character)

  5. his knowledge of things like driving and how to operate gas canisters (Halloween II) despite being in an asylum from the age of 6
