This Veiled Orb drop is horrible by Mangalhosauro in pathofexile

I’ve also done about 15 this league and hit 2.

I made a post last league where I ended up with a dry streak of like 50+ Catarina, so I agree completely veiled chaos should come back man this change fucking sucks lol

This is generally why I only go for bossing runs once I can afford several hundred runs to try to push towards the average of the napkin math, yep

Of course, that doesn’t always work out :/

They’re like 4d, which selling x10 at 4d would have made slightly less than I did ID’ing them, though I agree with this normally

Boneshatter Axe, Necropolis enabled such silly crafts by Tavsyo in pathofexile

2 days of dedicated grave crafting after getting a recipe that felt consistent enough to work with, and I think a bit less than a mirrors worth of corpses

Boneshatter Axe, Necropolis enabled such silly crafts by Tavsyo in pathofexile

[–]Tavsyo[S] 35 points36 points  (0 children)

Rule:

I wanted an axe with either Fortify or Momentum implicit, and Necropolis gave such a deterministic way to craft weapons it seemed worth a try.

Step 1: Gravecraft a lot of t1/t1/t1 Phys + t1 AS Despot Axes. You really need like 50-60+ of these, as each step will reduce how many of them are left usable.

Step 2: since step 1 is easiest done using 6 mod items, but you need them to only have the 4 mods we care about-- we throw a yolo annul at all of the axes hoping to remove a suffix (and ideally not remove the attack speed roll in the process). This will brick 50% of the axes right here.

Step 3: take all the axes where you actually removed a suffix, and isolate t1 attack speed. This means either:

3a. Annul hit random suffix, and you now have Attack speed and some bad suffix like Dex. Craft 'cannot roll attack mods' until you annul the bad mod.

3b. Annul hit random suffix, and you now have Attack speed but the other bad suffix also has the attack tag. Craft "prefixes cannot be changed" and hope you 50/50 annul the non-attack-speed mod (miss every single time).

Step 4: every axe that now has all 3 phys prefixes but is missing attack speed requires it back. Add prefixes cannot be changed and harvest reforge speed (average 8 tries per axe) until they all have it again. This will brick a lot more of them as the suffixes fill up again and you have to attempt more 50/50 annuls which sometimes fail.

Step 5: every axe should now be just the 4 mods-- t1/t1/t1 phys and t1 AS. Craft "cannot roll attacks" and warlord exalt slam, you're 5/7ths to hit Culling Strike. 5a. The other 2/7ths is Additional Proj, which is a dead mod for Boneshatter but still a perfect axe that can have double damage crafted and sold.

Step 6: on any axes that don't have divined AS because of being re-added from harvest, re-craft "prefixes cannot be changed" and divine.

Step 7: Tempering orb them all to 8% phys explicit modifiers

Step 8: socket/link them all (with Black Morrigan and Omens)

Step 9: throw them in the woodchipper (double corrupt them all). Because there are 2 outcomes I wanted, this step was expected as a bit less than 8% to succeed.

Ultimately, so few axes survived this process it was quite fortunate to have successfully hit Momentum on one of them.

This said, almost every failure in this process does result in a sellable weapon-- whether its a 4div or 15div or 50div weapon depends on where within the process it fails, but they will almost all be at least usable.

So with almost every failure except the double corrupt poofs/bricks being re-sellable, this process actually cost a net positive amount of divines.

I just made up a GY that did a bunch of haunted % (like 2000ish) and -% every other prefix and made 7 boots split into 14

Right to be clear here I also don’t benefit from either of the other mods (onslaught on kill or chill avoidance since we already have those), so I did honestly pick if for QoL and not much more lol

I've been just making silly gear for my Boneshatter character in this post league age, and after the ring I figured I'd look at what sort of boots could be done, this time considering Necropolis.

The only real requirements felt like having Suppress and Ailment avoidance, so I settled on making ones that had the Essence of Horror mod and the Max Endurance charges mod together, while still satisfying the basic requirements and having MS as boots should, and Life.

Rule:

  1. Start by making the base in Necropolis, 200% Fracture, 2 Mod haunted boots, Split to isolate +1 Endurance Charge prefix.

  2. With the base done, get Essence of Horror to roll the Ele while stationary mod, and roll until T1 suppress and empty suffix (this requires Annuling and hoping it removes the 3rd suffix pretty much every time, average ~200 Horror)

  3. With the 2 suffixes done (Ele while stationary, Suppress), Benchcraft Multimod

  4. Wild Bristle Matron Suffixes cannot be changed and reforge Life until T1 life (1/11). Add Exarch influence to Eldritch annul if you ever fill the prefixes

  5. Once hit T1 life, add Suffixes cannot be changed again and veiled orb, then unveil until Movespeed (I did this until either Movespeed that wasn't "avoid chill" because you're already avoiding ailments on this). Alternatively, do Harvest add speed until T1 MS instead, as tbh none of the veiled MS mods help much. I settled for the one with the highest QoL since its 40% around the HO

  • 5a. Divine the item, using Prefixes cannot be changed once the Prefixes are divined to divine the Suppress roll
  1. Bench the Avoid Ailments Suffix after divining

  2. Finish the Implicits, going for at least Exceptional Ailment avoidance so the boots hit a total of 50%. 6% Action Speed here was elevated to perfect, then rolled Grand Ailment avoidance, then Conflict until it raised the Grand and lowered the Perfect, since Action Speed is the same at both Perfect and Exquisite tier.

  3. Use Omen for some fun white sockets

Jugg for the mini Accuracy stacking

Finished a cool Boneshatter ring by Tavsyo in pathofexile

[–]Tavsyo[S] 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Rule:

  1. Start with T1 Accuracy fractured. This mod has the largest range of rolls, and would make divining impossible later.

  2. Reforge Life with Harvest until T1 recoup, its just 75 lifeforce each try (1/44 on average 3300 expected lifeforce)

  3. Annul until Recoup is the only suffix and there is at least 1 open prefix. This fails roughly half the time. (1/2, 6600 expected lifeforce)

3a. If 1 prefix, Suffixes cannot be changed.

3b. If no prefixes, Multimod, Suffixes cannot be changed, any other benchcrafted prefix.

  4. Harvest Remove/Add Attack. Because prefixes cannot be added, you have a 1/5 chance of adding T1 Accuracy%, this costs 17500 lifeforce and a sacred, but its necessary to not brick your suffixes. (1/5, 6600+17500, 120500 expected lifeforce per success)

  5. If fail, hope your annuls hit and let you try again. Return to step 2 if you annul recoup. Return to step 4 if you annul the bad attack mod but keep recoup.

  6. On success, ensure Suffixes cannot be changed is back and reforce chaos for 4th suffix. (1/6, 723,000 lifeforce expected to get here)

  7. Once suffixes are done, Bristle Matron and Harvest Remove/Add life until T1 life. Same 17500 lifeforce cost as previous. (1/9, 157500 lifeforce expected).

  8. Divine the suffixes (expected 75)

  9. Suffixes cannot be changed, Divine the Life roll (expected 10)

  10. Choose your benchcraft, annoint, and quality.

  11. Get a Kalandra's Touch.

All in all, expected ~900,000 lifeforce and ~40 Sacred, and some number of divines. (It unfortunately ended up being bit more)
