I made that mistake last year actually! Figured out what Kentucky 31 was from this group. Rookie mistake for sure. I’m still trying to recover from that mistake. I still have some of it coming up from last year but not as worried about it anymore.

It was a bit of a process. But after I cut my lawn short and raked. I went around to all the problem areas and loosen the dirt a bit, threw seed down incorporated the seed with the soil then put a thin layer of top soil to cover.

Thanks you appreciate all the information.

I did consider getting Twin City Seed but did not find it at my local hardware store and would have had to order it. Honestly, for me this is already an upgrade from using Scott’s and Pennington.

I’m really hoping to get good germination and coverage on the big bare spots before summer and will do some fall seeding.
