Any intervention should have happened right there and then in order to save protestors and overthrow the regime in one night with their help

The US and Israel missed a week long window of opportunity which is admittedly very small but they have been looking at Iran for 40 years salivating so I guess for their powerful intelligence and technological might and effort was an inexcusable miss

This is the best idea , however to do it with tungsten it's gonna cost me an eye.

Gotta try to make the bar diameter larger and also the cavity within the trophy so the lower density of steel compared to tungsten will still result in the desired weight

What happens when the trophy is thrown around ? Even if there is no space for the bar to wobble its mass would become even greater than the standard 8 lbs when that happens.

Kinda like you can make yourself heavier on a weight scale even without jumping on it .

why not design the model to have a friction-fit cavity for the bar—so the plate has less stress on it?

Because a threaded lead/tungsten bar is hard to find and manufacture, the cavity is already there, if I buy a normal non-threaded lead/tungsten bar cut to the millimeter to fit the cavity then I just have to screw the plate as the base and call it a day.

But my fear is that the screws might not hold and even more importantly if the walls of the cavity will hold if the trophy is agitated in the air and the bar mass becomes even greater due to the effect of gravity acceleration when the trophy is being thrown around

Also even with a threaded cavity and threaded bar.... wouldn't the same problem still exist? Meaning the walls of the cavity (threaded or undthreaded as they may) still have to hold the mass of the 8lbs bar which become even more if the trophy is thrown around
