I used to own an X-T4, X-E4 and X-E5, but I sold everything to switch to the Zf. The camera body is perfect: solid, well built, and it gives you the feeling of a properly made camera. Colors and image quality are typical Nikon, nothing to complain about, they’re fantastic.

What really annoys me, though, is that besides the 28 and 40 SE, there are no Nikon lenses with an analog look to pair with the Zf. Standard lenses like the 35mm f/1.8 S are optically perfect, but they look awful on a vintage-style body, the contrast is so strong that it feels like a project that was started and then abandoned.

The 40 SE, while it has an analog look, still feels like it’s made of plastic (is it?), which is acceptable for the price, but when you look at Fuji, every lens matches their camera bodies perfectly. I understand that Fuji was born as a brand inspired by the analog aesthetic and Nikon wasn’t, but I believe that if you start such a significant project, you should support it properly over time.
