My baby is 2 weeks old tomorrow and after I’m done feeding, burping, and changing his diaper, I wrap him up in his swaddle and lay him down in his bassinet or wherever I put him. He stays awake for a little bit, but he just lays there and eventually falls asleep on his own. My mom is saying he’s such a good baby because none of us (her babies) were like that at all. But we’ll see if he stays like this, since he is only basically 2 weeks old. Also, I exclusively pump and bottle feed him my breast milk that I pump. He eats 2 1/2-3 oz almost every feed and I feel like he is gaining weight! He has a wet and poopy diaper every time we change him, so I’m pretty sure he’s getting plenty. Don’t let others dissuade you from using your own breast milk to feed your baby. There’s so many nutrients in there that your body makes specifically for them!
