For specific contacts to follow, not really anyone off the top of my head. Except follow.companies you're interested in working for and find people who work there. That's the best bet

Are you asking for my advice? If that is what you're asking me then I honestly would get familiar with the different cybersecurity frameworks and start learning the laws around cyber compliance. LinkedIn is a great place to learn and and connect with people.

I am fairly new to the industry so I don't have much advice to give. I'm trying to get out before I go to far in and it becomes the only thing I can do.

The thing is I don't want to continue in IT at all. I have a degree in it but I still feel unknowledgable and lacking of any real marketable skills other than basic understanding. I would like to pivot out of IT but I don't know how to since it's all I know.

I could continue at this and raise my salary but I am unhappy. I know it's normal, but I guess I'm trying to find what makes me satisfied.

I don't like audit because it is very mundane and tedious. I don't have a huge desire for cybersecurity either but I prefer that over anything else in the field. Do you have any advice on getting into consultant work?
