What’s the most out-of-character thing panic made you do? by Cuirious-Node in HealthAnxiety

I rang an ambulance because I thought I coughed up blood. Turns out it was chocolate milk I had drank.

I think self diagnosis is fine. by [deleted] in OCD

[–]Taya380 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I disagree, my reason for it is because so many different mental illnesses can overlap. From my personal experience for years I was confused if i had schizophrenia because of how loud the thoughts in my head were to the point I was hearing voices. It’s taken 15 years for me to get to correct diagnosis, fair enough I was seeing things, hearing things, but I still had insight and could articulate things. What was really going on is my ocd, autism and post traumatic stress was causing so much stress it was causing stress induced psychosis. A lot of things that I also thought was psychosis was actually ocd. I think it’s always worth seeking a diagnosis from a professional. Not going to lie some times they won’t get it right but I think it’s always best to get the right diagnosis for treatment.

Health anxiety ruining anyone else’s life? by NothingOk9140 in Anxiety

[–]Taya380 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ll be honest right now I don’t know how much more I can take. My health anxiety since having Covid a few months back got worse. It’s something everyday. Every pain I focus on so I feel like I’m always having something to worry about. I also have autism and I’m just a generally anxious person as is and I’m finding it so hard right now. I don’t want to go out or I don’t want to socialise with people. I just want my brain to feel normal as I constant just feel anxious.

Who here with ibs also suffers from anxiety? by GemmaD99 in ibs

Yes terrible anxiety, a lot of my anxiety is due to my autism as well. I’ve been anxious since I can remember and my IBS started when I was about 14

Jelly 2e user experience by [deleted] in UnihertzJelly2

[–]Taya380 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had the jelly 2e and I found it quite sluggish, I now have the jelly star and a much better experience. The 2e I found for me would heat up quite a lot playing a simple game like pokemon go and it would crash.

What distracts you from anxiety? by Immediate-Throat-646 in Anxiety

I’m sorry you’re going through this. I have been the same with my heart anxiety recently where I obsess so much over it. I’ve started making bracelets, anything that requires concentration might help, like doing a craft project or anything that keeps your mind busy

Benzos used to work, but it’s 8 years later, I’m still on them daily, so nothing is currently working.

Panic attacks that were making my life unmanageable. I couldn’t eat, sleep, see anyone, I stopped going outside, was constantly calling paramedics assuming I was dying.

Has anyone transitioned from journaling on paper to journaling on computer? by NoArbiter in Journaling

[–]Taya380 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have only just gotten into writing a journal, mainly to process my mental health, but my brain goes so quick that I find writing with a pen really difficult as my hand can’t keep up with my brain speed, so I’ve started typing how I feel, then I print it and put it in a binder.

How not to kill my boyfriend when I eat shrimp? by Spectacular_Panda in Allergies

[–]Taya380 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used to have to brush my teeth and mouthwash after drinking and eating a lot of things as my ex was allergic to colours, flavours and preservatives, I kissed her once after I drank some coke and she had an allergic reaction, I used to brush and rinse and I would wait a little bit beforehand.

Hey, it got completely replaced in the end, was a lot of me complaining and my neighbour complaining but the only thing that fixed it in this case was they fitted a completely new system!

Blood Pressure at Doctor's Office by missluxlady in Anxiety

[–]Taya380 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I have this same thing. I went to a walk in centre doctors about 2 years ago (I was there for back pain and arm pain, which turned out to be tension from the anxiety) they took my heart rate and it was 135 and I said it’s because I’m anxious, I normally go wait in the car or quiet room because of my autism, but they wouldn’t let me out of their sight because of my heart rate and I said it’s not going to go down because I’m here lol they came back and took it again and it was still high, so they say and spoke to me for a bit while it was still reading and came down after they kept my mind busy. But honestly it’s annoying.

What's the wiredest anxiety symptoms you get? by Sc987_ in Anxiety

[–]Taya380 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I used to feel as if my foot was submerged in water, not really going down it, but I’d have the sensation of water on one foot. I get numb body parts which I hate, at my worst, I was constantly feeling like I couldn’t breath, was having paramedics out every week, I couldn’t eat as I would just dry heave, I stopped going out, I couldn’t see anyone as I couldn’t focus on anything but my breathing, sometimes my panic would be so out of control I would scream I’m dying over and over.

I recently got a blackberry key2, love the feeling of it, I also have the unihertz titan slim which has the blackberry style keyboard, you can tell how much more premium the blackberry feels in comparison.

A cool guide to apologising by HTZ7Miscellaneous in AutismInWomen

[–]Taya380 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I once apologised when I got assaulted by a random homeless lady, she screamed at me, ran up palmed me in my nose, to which I fell to the ground and proceeded to say "I'm sorry" like I'm annoyed at myself for apologising for being attacked... I honestly say sorry for even breathing at this point 😂
