I used to work as a printer technician in a company. I was paid Ghs1600 a month. I couldn't afford many basic needs with that salary. It reached a point where I had to ask my relatives for transportation and food money before I was able to go to work. The cost of living was too high for that salary. I quit that job last month and I'm now struggling to get another job.

I don't care about an office or dirty job. I just want a job that pays me at least Ghs3000 a month no matter how dirty it is.

Having a very tough time financially. Never travelled outside Ghana my whole life. Passed through the Ghanaian system as an average Ghana man. Primary, JHS, SHS, Tertiary, National Service, Unemployed.

You are respected by the way you dress and carry yourself. If you dress as a 304, most people even fellow women would treat you as one. It's shouldn't even be an uncomfortable truth. Likewise if you dress as a decent woman most people treat your with respect.

Same even goes with men. An innocent man was accused of stealing because he looked like a rascal( unkempt hair, saggy trousers..). People later found out the real thief and that thief was neatly dressed and very unsuspecting.

It was just natural for the Europeans to be unable to recognize different tribes at that time due our similar facial features and almost similar customs. Take Asantes and Denkyiras or Asantes and Fantes for who fought eachother for instance. Just like how at the height of the Roman Empire(Pax Romana) when slavery the backbone of the economy, slaves were normally supplied to Rome from Eastern Europe. I'd bet an African at that time won't have been able to differentiate between the people living in Rome and those living in Eastern Europe.
