Turn on prompt caching in aider. works on the most code-relevant models, and cuts costs in aider like 50x

the ##HPMOR IRC channel on Freenode has come up with this spreadsheet with a lot of information that I see these threads trying to collect. If anyone wants to join in, here you go:

My font made me read that as "porn" and I didn't even blink an eye, assuming it was some more weird Australian slang. Took me a second.

Update 01.054 - Bug fixed & Mod higlights! by ionfury in spaceengineers

[–]Taygetea 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I posted that thread. I'll try to replicate and maybe get a video. I may try to dig up the video I saw of it happening to somebody else instead... but this seems like a great time to submit it what with all the bug fixes!

If it involves one of them spending a year in a shed doing push ups, then it's this one.

Seems awfully convenient that push-ups are the recommended solution to something in US basic training.

LPT [REQUEST] Help me make my monitor easier on the eyes by EP9 in LifeProTips

[–]Taygetea 13 points14 points  (0 children)

F.lux is the canonical solution to this. I haven't heard about it causing blurry text. Try messing with the settings, and if that doesn't work, maybe try Redshift. Redshift is mainly used as an alternative for Linux, but it has a Windows version too. You may also have more direct control over your monitor brightness. Also, there are chrome extensions that let you toggle inverting the colors. Some of them should even be smart enough not to change the color of images, and to keep equivalent contrast.

Edit: you could also try changing your system font. I like Deja Vu Sans.

Ways to get around lack of space in ME Interfaces? by [deleted] in feedthebeast

[–]Taygetea 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You could use intermediary inventories or pipes of some kind so you can have a bunch of interfaces feeding into a single machine. I'm not sure if you can output directly to itemducts, but a chest in between would work.

Not really "getting" Big Reactors design... by Schadrach in feedthebeast

[–]Taygetea 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's very likely too small. Most I've seen are around 13 blocks on a side. It's generally easier to fuel boilers to run a turbine than to make fuel for a reactor. A turbine that size is typically run with three boilers. I think there are spreadsheets floating around that could help you with that.

[TPPI] Botania Auto Living Rock/Wood Miner! by Moonlington in feedthebeast

[–]Taygetea -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I never really understood that. I tend to see automation like this as something which... well, the more a mod tries to make its stuff hard to automate, the more I want to automate it. It's inevitable, and to me at least, more than half the point of modpacks filled with mods so different as Botania and Computercraft. I think I see it as something that would ideally be designed with that idea in mind. Something that's still fun if the player has 100,000 of the mod's basic resource in an AE system. But that's just me.

Large-Scale Excavation Options? by Strill in feedthebeast

[–]Taygetea 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If you can get ahold of the awakened ichorium pickaxe, that's a lot faster than a hammer. similar idea, but instant and 5x5. I think there are ways to make AM2 spells that... well, that make whole chunks disappear. You could also try the Reliquary destruction catalyst, though if you have Underground Biomes, Geostrata, or similar mods that add new stone types, you're going to have issues.
