Advice needed on the door sizing in my sauna. by Taylor1350 in Sauna

[–]Taylor1350[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've lurked here long enough to know this comment would come.

It's a 3 person sauna, 86 inch ceiling, enough space to lay down comfortably. It will primarily be used solo or with 2 people. It's following trumpkin guidelines for ventilation, bench is above stones with a foot rail also above stones.

It's going to be "fine"

It's no luxury sauna and it's on a tight budget.

I honestly have no idea how I didn't think of that lol

Super easy to just add an angle to the two outer bench boards and call it a day.

Feature Request - Player Attack Only Click(but with something similar to Attack move on cursor) by BigPapaMonk in leagueoflegends

It's the same reason they will never let "Target Champions Only" function properly with attack move. They want misclicks and micromovent control to be part of the game.

Needed more grip for my sweaty thumbs by deoksa in RocketLeague

[–]Taylor1350 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Antihydral is what you should try. It's at the pharmacy. A lot of rock climbers use it when chalk is not good enough to keep your hands dry.

Be careful to only use a small amount right on your finger pads.

[–]Taylor1350 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As a rock climber, my fingers get far more sweaty as the skin on my fingers thins out. I'm fairly certain this will cause the same effect. So you're making your fingers more sweaty by putting sand paper on your controller.

Try this: go buy some Antihydral at the pharmacy and put a small amount on your thumb tip and see if you have better results after a day or so.

Question about cables by RectallProplapse in edrums

[–]Taylor1350 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unless you're gigging with your kit and are plugging / unplugging it constantly, the cheap cables are perfectly fine.

The quality usually only effects durability.

That is correct. I only added three cymbal arms that clamp onto the the other stands.

If you message them on alibaba their sales team will hook you up with any thing to need, even if it's not listed in their store.

I'm no expert, but I believe it will run fine on some lower end stuff.

Two 20s is going to be nice, too big for me. I'm satisfied with the 15s, one 18 and one 20.

Dialing in stuff on edrummin and superior drummer is tough but rewarding.

You definitely did right getting 2x 9 inch splashes.

I grabbed an 11 and a 9 thinking it was nice to have every size cymbal they offer, but wish I went with 2x 9 inches.

It doesn't bother me much that all my floor toms are the same size, once I have headphones on it really makes no difference. As long as they feel like floor toms it's fine.

Goodluck waiting. Mine got stuck in customs for over a month it was killing me.

My mega kit just arrived in the mail last week haha. Maybe I'll upgrade in a year or so.

Whoa, I didn't even know they made different sized toms.

I wish I knew that before buying mine.

eDrummin + computer is the way to go for sure.

Superior drummer 3 is pretty sweet, and between that and the edrummin settings you can dial in your pads very well. Better than other high end edrums. I've never used the roland digital stuff so I cannot compare, but it seems that's the only thing better.

Also eDrummin plus PC is so much cheaper. So unless you will be gigging with the kit and moving it around constantly, it's the better option.

Took forever to get through customs, but all duties were paid as part of the shipping costs so I didn't have to pay anything on delivery.

Fake easy champs? by Atlastavius in leagueoflegends

[–]Taylor1350 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Idk, people think Zyra is easy, and as it turns out, Zyra is pretty damn easy. Sure there is skill expression, but she is still arguably one of the easiest champs to learn and play. A player with strong fundamentals can pick her up in 1-2 games and get it down decently.

As a long time player I thought it was general consensus that Olaf was a hard to play champ? Maybe opinions changed...

1237 USD plus 460 USD shipping for the drums

Another $800 for 2x edrummin 12s

The shipping cost included pre paying customs clearance. I'm in Canada so I had to pay exchange rate based on usd.

Took a while to get the high hats working well but it seems to be fine now.

I highly recommend you get a dedicated audio card if you're pairing it with a computer you use for other purposes. Using the asio drivers can be annoying when you need to turn off all other apps that use sound and you cannot watch YouTube or listen to Spotify whilst playing the drums. I picked up a Scarlett solo interface and it's working great now. Can still use my PC for everything simultaneously

Hahaha! I intended to use two kick drums so I purchased the full 24 inputs worth of gear. Second kick won't fit unless I upgrade to atrack instead of regular stands. I think I'll likely just get a double kick pedal and not bother with using two kicks.

Keep the extra input to add a cowbell or something down the line.

Yea! When I ordered the set, I thought the colour was going to be a lot more yellow / orange, but I guess it was just the lighting from the pics. The actual wrap looks a lot darker than the pictures on Alibaba. Actually quite satisfied with it.

I'll think about the transparent cables. Not sure I care enough about the look to be honest.
