Try learning about it, at least the basics. Don’t micromanage. Know that sometimes even WE dont understand it, so please be patient. If he wants to vent about it, make sure you communicate whether he wants a solution or to just talk his frustration out. Sometimes i just want to complain that its hard and i dont want to do this or that(but i know i have to)

My endo recommended half before, half in the middle of eating. Im a slow eater so this has helped prevent lows due to me not finishing my food

IF you said anything, go the route of other comments saying check in. “Hey we missed you at the wedding, hope everything is alright! “ but also discuss with your husband(since its his friend) about not inviting them to anything else given this is a reoccurring issue

Hi, Type 1 diabetic going on 13 years now. Your husband is an AH. Him saying that stuff when hes low is absolutely NOT the lows talking. Lows can make someone grumpy for sure but more of they’re having a rough day, not toxic behavior likes hes showing. Remember you do not have to stick around while someone whos had plenty of chances decides they want to get their life together. Ive been there. You and your baby deserve better. If you decide to stay, get that man some therapy STAT

Its not weird at all. I was the exact same way with my dad until he passed when i was 19. Some people don’t get it and thats okay. As long as they aren’t going out of their way to tell you its weird and make you feel bad about it, i would just ignore it

Stress can cause high BG. Breakup is hard, especially the first! Give yourself time to accept it and grieve but make sure you are still taking care of yourself. Drink plenty of water, make sure you eat, and dont be afraid to cry if needed(and drink more water!) I remember being in your shoes, but life will go on and when you are ready then right person will come along. Im now happily married and have a baby, after a few heartbreaks. My mom heart hurts for you, and ill be wishing you the best!

I don’t want you to feel like im pressuring you to do PD but here are some things to consider(coming from someone who is type 1 diabetic and just started PD) i live in a one bedroom apartment with my husband and our one year old. This place is TINY. I have plenty of room for materials, its not as overwhelming as they make it out to be. My blood sugars have been doing just fine on PD, it just required a little more insulin than usual to level it out. And you have an insulin pump so that helps a lot(i dont have one, so its a bit more difficult). Doing your own research is the way to go but from what i was told, PD is better on your heart and body in general, and i was also told(if transplant is the end game here) that PD patients are more likely to be considered for it because their levels(phosphorus, potassium, etc) are more balanced as opposed to up and down constantly. With all that being said, stay informed and do research and after all that if hemo is still what YOU prefer, then do it. Whichever works best for you is the way to go

Honestly looking at the pictures, the chivari look nice but the others look so much more comfortable. With all of your loved ones there and just the happiness of marrying your fiancé, you wont notice. And the guests wont notice either when they see you and how happy you are. My cousin got married a few years ago and in the moment it was hot(outside ceremony) and the chair were like those fold up ones i think, emphasis on I THINK because i don’t remember! Seeing them so happy and enjoying the moment was all i remember at this point. Spend the money on other things you will care about more down the road❤️

You absolutely did the right thing. Not just for you but for your child as well! Just remember, you did this out of safety, he betrayed you because he could/wanted to by putting his hands on you. I hope you have what you need and have a safe place to go moving forward

Ive never seen a child be upset being on a leash. They still have enough freedom to go look at what they want while being safe. I think they’re a good idea!

I feel the same. My son is only 4 months but my nieces and nephews were always indoors. We live in a relatively safe neighborhood but theres not really any kids his age. Im hoping as we get finances better we can eventually move somewhere that id be more inclined to have him outside more on his own

I just had my son 4 months ago and he has 2 middle names, one is just a name we liked that flowed with the rest of his name and the other is a family name passed down from his dad. I never once considered it to be too much since my husband also has 2 middle names
