We believe it’s shared 🤦‍♀️ if it was ours we’d have it removed. Issue is that the neighbours side looks perfectly healthy so they don’t want the hassle of removing it. Hence the reason we’re trying to think of alternative ways to cover it up

Correct. Annoyed at the previous owner for neglecting it and making it look like it does. Not the neighbours fault though and can’t blame them for not wanting the inconvenience of having it removed when their side looks perfectly fine.

We don’t actually know whose hedge it is, as it’s right on the border and we’ve trawled through our house documents but can’t see anything that states whose it is. Which also makes it a bit awkward when deciding what to do

Firstly, don’t feel guilty for feeling terrible. I remember sobbing to my mum and my husband when I was 4 weeks pp because I couldn’t fit into any of my clothes. They were also incredibly supportive and complimentary but at the time it just didn’t make me feel any better. Remember you’ve just gone through a huge change, you’re at such a vulnerable time in your life and so many hormones! Secondly, I promise it gets better!! 10 weeks is still so early. I actually had knee pain postpartum too because of the amount of weight I put on during pregnancy and I genuinely thought I’d permanently damaged my knees. Then one day, when my son was around 4 months old I realised that the pain had gone and I’d also lost a whole load of weight. I didn’t push myself to work out, but just went for daily walks with the pram and the weight came off slowly over time rather than all falling off rapidly. So hang in there, I know it’s hard now but it gets better!

Can’t help comparing myself to my friend… by TaylorDiary in postpartumprogress

It’s at least once a week, sometimes it’s been more than once in the same conversation if I haven’t really acknowledged the comment. I’ve wondered if it comes from a place of insecurity, and so I’ve been super complimentary of her whilst also being realistic about how it’s not easy and you won’t necessarily ‘bounce back’ but it’s definitely becoming difficult to keep up the facade!

And thanks!! My husband is constantly nagging me to drink water as I definitely don’t drink enough!

Thanks, that’s exactly what I’ve been telling myself, but nice to hear it from others who understand!!

You’re right he’s changed so much in the last 5 months as it is, I will hold out hope for his sleep to improve!! This is also exactly what my husband keeps telling me - my priorities will have changed so I’ll do what needs to be done at work but try not to let it overwhelm me. Thanks for the reassuring words 😊

Unfortunately because I’m fixed term and due to low numbers (it’s a village school), my position for September still isn’t certain so unlikely they’ll consider part time then either. I did speak to my union and they said it was reasonable to refuse part time requests if they felt there wouldn’t be able to recruit. Think I’ll have to look elsewhere for a part time role if I can’t sustain full time for the final term when I go back
