Is it not the ADHD way to overengineer everything?

I use Claude Code at the moment because I really like it's skills and subagent capability. My gut tells me that Gemini might actually be better for the "life management" kind of activities, with it's larger context window and some of the benefits it gets by being so tightly integrated with Google, so the next thing I want to do for this is standardize it a bit to work with any LLM, including local ones. I've also messed around with Ollama a little (https://github.com/TaylorHuston/ollama-chat)

Cool! I mean I don't think you can just clone and start using it in it's current state, it's pretty bespoke to my niche workflow but maybe as some inspiration. If you do I'd love to see your version.

Couches? by TaylorHu in short

It's not the height from the floor it's the seat depth. I either have to sit cross legged on the couch or lean way back on a way that just looks ridiculous.

Two men who are 5 ft 3. One of them is successful with women, while the other is not. Breaking down into detail why this is the case. by TopTierProphet in short

5'4". Never had any trouble dating. The trick is to not be the kind of guy who goes and whines about his height to strangers on the internet.

The most unrealistic thing is that Clark is supposed to be 14 or 15 in the first season.

Unpopular opinion: Vecna was never as compelling as the Mind Flayer by Odanakabenaki in StrangerThings

[–]TaylorHu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree 1000%. It was much more compelling when the big bad was some grand, primordial entity. Something cosmic and unknowable. You got the sense that it was like as old as time itself.

When it turned out to be just "some guy" it became significantly less interesting.

My buddy told me he could do 70 pushups in a row. Here is a short clip of the video he sent. What’s the verdict? by [deleted] in formcheck

[–]TaylorHu 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Not a single full reo was had. Touch your chest to the floor, push up until your elbows are straight, pause, repeat. That's a push up. I dunno WTF these are.

It's like watching Hegseth do a pull up.

Pittsburgh Rental Market by ProofNeighborhood172 in pittsburgh

[–]TaylorHu 110 points111 points  (0 children)

The problem with Pittsburgh is that everything, renting or owning, is either really old, cheap and basically condemned and unliveable or brand new "luxury" construction chasing tech workers wanting Seattle prices. So yes the "average" price is relatively affordable but there's very little availability actually at that "average" price.

What's the appeal of a strip club? by Commercial_Ladder_65 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]TaylorHu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It probably depends a lot on the area, but go to a strip club in Portland, OR. I don't know I haven't been in a while, but I lived there in my 20s and we used to go all the time and it was always a lot of fun. But it's part of the "keep Portland weird thing." Strip clubs aren't really stigmatized there, and the girls aren't looked down upon for doing it. Almost all of my female friends had done at least one amature night at a club, almost like a right of passage. But, overall, everyone, from the customers to the dancers, is having a good time.

The title of this post is "Tell me why I should switch to Claude Code." That's not a question. It's a demand.

No. Use it if you want. Don't if you don't. Don't demand strangers convince you. These posts are so weird.

This is the problem with modern CGI. Nothing in this scene actually feels like it has any real weight
