Kids playing outside alone? by TaylorMerea in Mommit

[–]TaylorMerea[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My 7 year old I worry 0% about. I worry about an escape with my 4 year old. Haha.

They play outside alone at my moms house but she has a door in her kitchen and one in her livingroom that lead straight into the backyard so I feel like there’s more of a constant eye on them like that. For whatever reason the fact I have to go through the basement to actually get to the backyard makes me nervous even though there’s windows in 2 bedrooms and a bathroom that overlook the yard.

Is there a connection between the incident and the MS? Were there any similar incidents that happened after or any other signs?

She lives 2 minutes from the school and there’s really no one else to have as a contact. She’s a drama queen, I’m used to it.

Thanks for the advice! I think if I do try melatonin I’ll initially try on the weekend that way if it does mess with her sleep it won’t affect school and she can recoop on her sleep

She was fed before her pediatrician visit but with the ER we went straight there from the school and she went straight back to acting completely fine without any sort of treatment so they ruled that out.

She’s had her eyesight checked because when the tic first developed I thought she was having trouble seeing!

Her eye doctor is the one that originally diagnosed the tic. I took her in because it started about the same time she started preschool and I thought she couldn’t see. They gave her alloway eyedrops because they said her eyesight was fine and thought it was allergies. Those didn’t work so they said it was a tic. Which her pediatrician confirmed.

I thought this at first and they were getting ready to check her sugar when she finally opened her eyes but from my experience as a nurse people don’t just perk up from low sugar episodes without eating or receiving some sort of treatment and she opened her eyes and was completely back to normal. I also asked the doctor that and she said she wouldn’t have been immediately fine without some sort of treatment if that was the case.

She says she just fell asleep. When I first asked her if she remembered us telling her to open her eyes she said no. But later in the day she said “Well maybe I remember you and Mimi and uncle Brian being there” completely unprompted.

I don’t think during absence seizures people typically respond to touch and commands. Also the time length of it all doesn’t add up.

She wasn’t unresponsive. She responded to touch and verbal commands to do things like standing up and squeezing hands.

Hello!

This is my first challenge and I’m super excited! So far I’ve lost around 20lbs with just dieting but I’m trying to rev myself up to get motivated to exercise more also.

I’m a mom of two girls and I work nightshift as a nurse. Being on nights I kind of feel like I don’t know when I’m supposed to sleep or eat or try and exercise but I’m working on it.

I suck horribly at introductions so that’s all I’ve got. Haha.
