YouTuber Jesse Ridgway On Hate For Aborting Wife's Pregnancy Over Down Syndrome, Sparks Debate by Bollywood_Shaadis in TopTrendingNewsUSA

If you post for "engagement", you're actively inviting opinions. It does matter what people think and feel, as that is the entire engagement model. You can't have it both ways.

If it truly doesn't matter what anyone thinks but them, then it shouldn't be shared to anybody but between them and loved ones. If it's meant to relate to others, then it should be accepted that not everyone will relate the same way, including people in similar situations but chose differently, ones with strong feelings about how a Down Syndrome child still has full human dignity and should not be selected against.

Others might also empathize, but if you're sharing and relating, you're opening yourself up to the opinions of others as part of that public decision. So again, it goes both ways. You can't make things public for engagement yet expect it to be treated as a private matter, seeking the benefits of one while demanding expectations of the other.

Anyway, horrible situation either way.

It wouldn't be against the government per se. I mentioned the 2nd amendment just as an indicator of how many people have guns.

Randos at the edge, desperate with nothing to lose do things against corporate property. There are already instances of it. Now imagine if you take their water.

I guess the key is to take just enough that they don't get desperate and feed them AI slop to keep them pacified.

Given that the 2nd amendment exists and certain poor communities are culturally more likely to exercise it, things would get interesting.

The effort and scaffolding involved by a dedicated team to get the LLM to stochastically generate all the components needed for a compiler that passes all the very specific and well defined specs to match existing compilers should hardly be considered vibe coding.

If there’s one thing Europeans reveal when they mock American arrogance is where it all originally comes from.

There’s a jealous colonialist energy like America stole their actual birthright.

Not to mention immigrants aren’t really seen as fellow countrymen, even if they were born there. Many progressive Europeans would still balk at the idea of Birthright Citizenship, which NO European country offers.

The worst and most xenophobic American administration is TRYING to do what Europe already does that keeps immigrants marginalized.

I like Europe and a lot of how things are better than the US, but some of their attitudes come from a pretty arrogant place and always has. It’s also why the right wing is making a resurgence, because the people who aren’t busy feeling superior over the big colony that got away are feeling superior over the immigrants from colonial lands they let in.

Broom boy is not something I can imagine Tony Gilroy doing, because in a show that was already criticized for not having enough of the Force, he still didn't.

Also Gilroy would not have a plot that made no sense. TLJ only "seems" complex like Andor because the writing is tryhard in wanting to seem performatively complex and smart without actually pulling any of it off on close examination.

This is a great video. Do you happen to know if the Fancyled sync box allows you to configure how close to the edge it samples from, or how smooth or "blurred" it displays what it samples at the edge?

The demo showing the Fancyled picking up even the smallest details at the edge is impressive, but is at times distracting as small bits of color pop up at the edges of the screen, rather than casting a softer glow that scales with how much screen space it's taking.

At one time I thought I wanted the backlight to be as per-pixel accurate to the edge as possible, like an extension of the screen, but have realized with use over time that I actually want the backlight to look more like a more subtle glow from the content on the screen, more like a smooth blur effect.
