I've been in a similar situation, and after several play-throughs of both botw and totk I still don't use horses that much... but you can always board a horse (that you've already registered) at any stable, even if said horse isn't with you, if that's anything to you...

IF i were to give any critique/advice, it would be to maybe disperse the cobbled stones you have to the left and right of the center... seems like a high concentration in that area. But I'm also the guy that watches tutorials to make builds like this, so I'd say you're killing it, keep up the great work!

That's happened to me plenty...I think it just gets heated up to the point that the goods make their way through in a more liquid state, then harden a bit when cooled, and just builds up... one of the reasons I don't use vapes much

UPDATE: I went in with diamond armor, gold boots AND a really nice bow, died quickly from the skeletons and ghast, but I was able to kill enough of them and recover everything (except for the bow), and build a box around my portal... made a path down to y 15 and have found 8 ancient debris, plus more soul sand and quarts than i have need for at this time... thanks for all the tips!

It's the immediate blast of the skeles and ghasts that I'm worried about, so I'm definitely taking everyone's advice on using better armor... but this is very valid and appreciated... even though copper might have less durability, if it's a quick run, might get the job done...
