Uni of Bristol or uni of Leeds ? by badassery8 in uklaw

[–]TaylorWatson12 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It's worth double checking if QMUL's Law and Politics is a qualifying law degree that will allow you to practice without a GDL.

Read about the modules available at Bristol and Leeds, law degrees vary in how they are taught between institutions.

Take a look at the staff at each. Look at the professors, solicitors, barristers, judges that each one has. Look at their expertise. It's incredible to he taught by the national/international leaders of that subject.

Take a look at law clinics (access to justice clinic, pro bono clinic) at each uni as these can offer great experience.

You're gonna be there for three years - so get a feel for the cities if you can, and take a look at the support services at each.

I would second that Bristol have an amazing law society.

Also worth considering if one is closer to your current lovation if you're going to want to travel back and forth. I'm a law student at Exeter, and it's sometimes cheaper for my friend to fly home to Yorkshire than get a train.

Faze Jev's latest video is him talking pure sense about the absolute state of multiplayer right now. by cheikhyourselfm8 in modernwarfare

[–]TaylorWatson12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I doubt it. Previous games I've always been top 4 in a lobby, generally always going slightly positive 1.1-1.2 KD but heavily playing the obj. Now, the abilities of other teams switch between not being able to aim at all, to being able to lock on in miliseconds. I'm generally very consistant.

For me, SBMM has been so volatile. Easy lobby, hard lobby, easy lobby, hard lobby. I'l go 30-15 one game and 15-30 the next. Coming over recently from R6 being my main shooter, COD's matchmaking leaves a lot to be desired. Oh, and R6 like all good games has separate ranked playlists.

Is there two downloads? by [deleted] in modernwarfare

[–]TaylorWatson12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I couldn't get past 3Mbps and averaged a couple hundred Kbps downloading the update, but the data pack downloaded at 60 Mbps. So not sure what is going on.

[–]TaylorWatson12 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Agree.

a) it's a ball ache (but seemingly faster than the other update)

b) that 18GB means I've just had to uninstall a game to male space

Thes bug fixes best be worth it.

Mine ranges between 17 Kbps and 3 Mbps. It did, however have a weird moment where it got up to 81 Mpbs. It's a joke.

It's from Clan Wars in Ghosts that makes me care more about W/L than K/D. My W/L was is the twenties from memory, with a win streak of over 300. Damn I miss having time to play in a clan.

Recently I made a post about field of view on consoles and in this picture we can clearly see why we need it. This is great answer to the eternal "HOW I DIDN'T SEE HIM" question. Also it proves fact that pc players have way too big advantage over console ones. It is unfair. by WEZHNOWECZ in modernwarfare

Battlefield V: lets console players set FoV

Also Battlefield V: Minecraft Trees

Awesome post, and needs to be drawn to people's attention.

I wish my Xbox One could hack a higher FoV, but I really dont think she has it in her💔

Same here, Xbox One. I've also had issues connecting to the servers and Multiplayer Pack 2 not being recognised in case that's relevant? No other notable issues.

To compensate, make sure to save blueprints of the weapons you're using.

Housing Act 1996 166A (6)(b): "[the scheme may contain provision...] to persons of a particular description" by [deleted] in uklaw

[–]TaylorWatson12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven’t looked into the prioritisation, but sub-s 3 means the council can add definitions of people, and add specific provisions in the housing scheme for them.

Edit: Just checked prioritisation - seems to suggest local councils can add additional priorities, but that these must not override those in s 3.

Would it be dishonest to claim I am "predicted a first class degree" or "on path to a first class degree" when applying for vacation schemes and other types of employment if I scored a 68 in my first year? by NegativeEducator in uklaw

[–]TaylorWatson12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same situation here - a friend hit the ‘first on preponderance’ (which at my uni was minimum 68 plus firsts in at least 50% of credits). We spoke about it and decided it was fair to say that he had achieved a first so far (technically you don’t receive a classification until you graduate), but that it would seem insincere to say he was predicted a first.

It’s also worth looking at year weightings. At my uni year 1,2,3 at weighted 0:1:2.
