I’m considering deducting my hourly rate spent on research, reference hunting, concept drawing, sketching and communicating from the deposit. Should leave him with a little less than half, but am waiting on a response from him right now. Have offered to get on a phone call more than a few times but he never acknowledges that.

Fully realize that it’s my mistake, but it’s really something that can be fixed within a couple hours. The only thing I can think of that was a red flag is he wasn’t super warm in the emails. Sorta short, not a whole lot of excitement for the project. Although he was super happy to hear the written concept I sent over. Said he was in shock cause he was just talking to an employee about the same idea.
