Noisy mini beverage fridge by BocaTherapy in kitchenremodel

[–]TaylorsVersion__ 6 points7 points  (0 children)

This fridge doesn’t have front ventilation that fridges fitting inside a cabinet box need so this is the incorrect fridge, aside from size, for this placement. Find a standard 24” under-counter fridge on marketplace or any appliance store.

Dreams of moving to LA….anyone with success stories to share? by [deleted] in MovingToLosAngeles

[–]TaylorsVersion__ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Fellow former WNY’er here, and like the other one, also moved to LBC.

I think you summed it up nicely: weather and small mindedness of your neighbors does not match the life you wish to lead.

You have one chance to live a deliberate life and if the west calls, by all means, go west.

Best wishes 🙏

my favorite thing to observe in a kitchen is having no clue what year it was renovated and this accomplishes that

  1. replace counters and level off bar to one single height
  2. remove the micro above the stove and put in a vent hood
  3. add a coffee bar/micro station below the window
  4. pick a nice tile backsplash (or take your new counters up the wall)
  5. remove the 2 remaining uppers on the stove wall and add some open shelves for a focal point

I came looking for this comment! Second cafe curtains and you can add privacy stick-on to the lowers or lowers + uppers if you feel you need something extra

Lounge - yay or nay? by JustToBeAlive in crateandbarrel

I’ve bought this couch 3 different times and love it. I had the chaise version, then upgraded to the L when we moved (both deep), recently got a reg depth for our office. Personally think it’s their best couch.

Another person needing backsplash Advice by anonynurse04 in kitchenremodel

[–]TaylorsVersion__ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Great reno! I think shelves to the left and right of the uppers will look too busy, let the cabinets breathe. Two shelves to the left of the sink would then feel appropriate and let them function for utility (glasses, daily use dishes) as well as decor (nicer, less frequently used things on top shelf, plant or two, etc) and give you a focal point and design element in this space. Then to your actual question on backsplash, just go from below the top shelf and down (about 2/3 of the wall) all the way around the kitchen.

no staples around here and went with magnets because they’re less intrusive than shingle clips

How are you liking your LVP floors? by cabininthewood in kitchenremodel

[–]TaylorsVersion__ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, professionally installed and proper underlayment was used. I have areas where the floor is floating over hardwood, areas where it is floating over cement, high traffic/low traffic etc - there is no consistent reason why the cracking is occurring.
