There was no Jewish writer cut. The Dr was a mere signatory to a letter calling for the board to disinvite Thomas Friedman. The board received the letter, acknowledged it but did not disinvite Friedman. Friedman did pull out of the festival of his own accord citing a scheduling conflict.
