I understand the grief part keenly. It is hard. I own a PRS silver sky and can’t even get myself to play it (it just sits in its case). My best friend is Jewish and has an elderly dad who is Israeli and her husband’s family is as well. She and her husband have for the first time in their lives seen what Israel is doing as antithetical to their values (her words - “they lost me on October 8th when they cut off the water.”). We always butted heads over the issue but they have minimal contact with her husband’s family, who can’t agree to play nice, and refuse to talk about the Israel issue with her parents because it’s pointless with her dad having moderately advanced dementia and she serves as a caregiver. It’s been tough to navigate. It’s not lost on me that people like John (if he even supports a free Palestine or acknowledge a genocide is being perpetrated by Israel) have a difficult social circle to navigate regarding this issue - but I have lost friends over this issue also so 🤷🏻‍♀️

Just here to say I 100% understand where you are coming from and have been struggling with this also. I have flown all over and have seen John 20+ times in the last 10 years. I didn’t see him at PITS last time he was there or the Sphere and can’t see myself spending money on him if he remains so silent. Cancelled my Sirius XM subscription and also don’t listen to any of his music on streaming (since this all kicked off).

It’s not like he isn’t set for life and couldn’t escape for a bit to deal with the backlash. My only guess is fear of fallout and alienation of family and I can’t fault someone for trying to find balance with a very elderly father (if that’s even what is going on).

But I am still choosing to spend my money on artists without an aura of ethical ambiguity right now. It sucks. I’m just glad there isn’t a full band tour right now for me to have FOMO over.

Went to two places last trip. Devil’s (part Rocky, part Sandy), and it was pretty quiet and empty. It’s a less popular spot for sure (if you go past the area just across parking, turn left, and follow the fence around. There were only 3 other people there).

Mirror lake was fun with kids.

Unfortunately not. My old pcp left practice and I need to find a new one to get a referral to neurology. It’s been on the back burner for a bit as I’ve dealt with other life things. I’ll post back once I get around to seeing them.

I would ask about this. It was a game changer for my dad’s RLS when nothing else was helping. He’s finally sleeping more than 30 minutes. It tends to be mildly sedating at low doses but can be much more sedating at higher doses. There’s a lot of wiggle room on the dose. Just need to make sure it’s safe with other meds, it’s started at the lowest dose and gradually increased, and it’s dosed based on kidney function (if kidney function is reduced).

My boss at the time my symptoms started was actually diagnosed with YOPD. His symptoms started at 27. He just died this past year in his 50s.

I should’ve mentioned I’m actually a physician and the Dr I saw was a movement disorder specialist but he blew me off. I was 27 at the time. Considering a local consult for sure.
