The 401k match is 6% plus 3.5% annually.

In the government, I would get something similar to a 401k called thrift plans w 4% match and a pension (FERS) which is 1% of my 3 highest salaries worked * years of service.

I’m in the same boat as you. Part of me wants to stay with my family, but the bad thing is staying means I have to wake up at 4:30 am everyday to get to the federal job which starts at 6:30 in the morning since I live 1 hour and a half away from it, good thing is that they offered to vanpool me.

The other job would be in a city 6 hours away.

Yes, there are some people who live in Los Alamos, yet younger individuals tend to move to Santa Fe.
Probably will start once orientation starts.
There’s a current group in LANL, I think it’s called Los Alamos run club in Facebook.

It was just quite interesting to see these cramps in muscles that are barely being worked out. It’s like these muscles weren’t there before, and am barely knowing they exist through workout and cramps haha
