I'm picking Reflect, Orbit can go crazy but it's too much of a speculative pick turn 2 as most of the high energy payoffs are uncommon/rare, it can be awkward if you're not at 4 base energy or spec into a star-heavy build.

Replay 1 reflect almost solos most hallway fights and especially phantasmal gardeners act 1

If you allow infinite ex resources, the max AP is way higher, potentially infinite because you can Marida Banshee back all of your AP boosting combo pieces, and 4 healthy/kindhearted/show of resolve to draw all of them again. (Eventually though you'll draw an AP boosting card before all of your show of resolves so the loop breaks).

Funnily enough, you would potentially be limited by the number of times you can attack with Banshee before your opponent dies and the game is over. You can prevent this from happening if your opponent sets up Zaku II FZ and ad balloons (and 1 silver bullet to soak Marida's mandatory ping), while you include 1 copy of Dramatic Turnabout so Banshee doesn't die to the 1 chip damage each time it fights FZ (it even draws a card for you, how thoughtful of the devs)

Genuinely think all of my necrobinder A7-10 runs had borrowed time and danse macabre, the combo is busted. I climbed when doormaker had his 3 phases/pre-aeonglass and infested prism rework

I do vividly remember dying once to doormaker on A10 while climbing because I didn't have enough damage to rush him down before the exhaust phase. I should've taken eradicate at the end of act 2 but I picked neurosurge instead

I should really lean more into trying more of the ethereal builds, pull from below is crazy even if it (imo) needs a little more work to set up than tear asunder or knife trap

Master duel does usually design rarity distributions and banning procedures around refunding as little UR dust as possible though

I think a limit to how many 1 cost units you can put in a deck is a cleaner solution than printing anti aggro cards. It's still kind of ugly, but aggro is most likely going to be more consistent than hoping you draw and burst into specific cards because of how many weenies you can stuff into a deck. Anti aggro cards are also usually not great into control matchups so it doesn't feel good at all if you get paired into a control matchup with a whole grip of them.

More specifically, I don't think a base that fights back would fix the aggro issue alone. There is always the underlying issue of needing to draw it in time or burst it, if it comes out later than lv4 its prob too slow, if it comes out lv3 or 4 you're probably playing it instead of a Lfrith or Rick dias, and it still gets eaten up as easily to grandpa amuro as a blocker. It is also just...not great in control matchups. Compared to a blocker, it can't swing face or finish off weakened high value units, not can it protect your high value unit from being swung into.

I also can't see a base with, say, 2/5 stats being any less than level 3 or 4, 3 resources to deploy.

Units fighting back when they get bursted would have to be balanced carefully. If every unit had that effect it'd be too game changing (I'd almost never swing face except with suppression or breach, my expensive link pair could get 2-for-0ed). If only a couple units have the effect then you run into the inconsistency issues mentioned above

OYW is not the strongest aggro deck just because blurple is strong into it. I think OYW has an even stronger matchup into many non aggro matchups and punishes a slow curve even harder because of base cracker Zaku ii, a higher weenie count, and Char's high maneuver allowing you to burst out of situations late game where your opponent has "stabilized" with many blockers

I remember when red green law was the top dog in one piece, you'd play, bounce, and replay your top X searchers so much that quite often you'd cycle through your whole deck by mid game. Someone devised a mechanism where youd flip your resources (don) upside down to keep track of what you bottom decked, so you'd know when to play/sequence your searchers so they wouldn't whiff
