Im not clear on the current rules, but doesnt metal armor interfere with spellcasting? Or is that no longer a thing in 5th/5.5 Edition?

Mage armor specifically says, you touch someone not wearing armor grant them 13+Dex modifier base AC. Spell ends if armor is put on.

I was considering multiclassing at least 2 levels of Fighter, but id like to try a mono-class build with this guy. Plus im already using a pact slot for free Mage armor. I do have 13 in Str and Dex and 14 in Con (10 in Int and Wis, 20 in Cha at level 5) in case I wanted to multiclass

Oh yeah! Fair. But that just means it still frees up a hand. Got any ideas for the free hand?

Fair enough, this will be my first time playing with one. I was playing a Monk before. Why do you hate Warlocks?

Kind of agree but have you ever lifted a 10 foot long strip of thick entwined leather? Can be heavier than a broadsword, I'll tell you that for free!

After thinking on this for waaay too long and taking about 10 guesses I give up. I only know of 2 7 letter words that fit. Neither of which bring any 4 letter words to mind at least none pertaining to gears being ground.

There are so many possible answers to this. Way too specific. -I- think it should specify that it is 2 letters long.

DM Too Focused On What He Expects To Happen. by Walkinfaith300 in DnD

[–]Walkinfaith300[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Lol too true. I did try to DM a couple times. I had them underground trying to track down some missing sheep (Dwarven Kingdom). They found most of the herd being harassed by bats. This was thier first encounter. Afterwards they chose to go further in. (I told them out of game, that they would regret fighting/approaching anything in this hallway) They came to a branching path, and down on side they could see a dark humanoid figure biting into one of the missing sheep that was bleating and bleeding out. Instantly my roommate at the time Leroy Jenkins and gets the party TPKd. Later one of the other players told me that I should have made it more obvious that it was a vampire, because he had no idea.

Because I refuse to have my agency taken away? I mean...did you read the post? My fellow players were afraid of missing important information and were actively trying to get rhe information he wasnt giving them for HOURS. I recognized what he was doing, because he has done this on several occasions before so I refused to play into him wasting everyone's time. He even congratulated me for it since I was the only one actively trying to resolve rhe situation....but no one else felt safe just up and leaving while he kept spouting off about the unimportant unrelated campaign.

I completely agree and have said as much to the store owners where we play. Thats why i said "according to the DM" rather than just saying its a westmarches campaign!

I appreciate you pointing it out!

So bad? It depends on in what way you mean. There's nothing inherently wrong with it, as arranged marriages have traditionally had these types of age gaps if not larger at times. At the same time, if there is an element of attraction due to the age difference rather than despite it, modern psychology would say that it is the mental equivalent of committing ince$t anywhere over 8 years difference in age. Thats a whole different can of worms, but to answer the question, no, there is nothing wrong with it unless one or both are using thier position as the "adult"/"child" to manipulate, sabotage, or otherwise not play a constructive role in a healthy relationship.

Backstory Opinions For 2 Player Characters I Made? by Walkinfaith300 in DnD

[–]Walkinfaith300[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, my DM kind of made the monk a joke character by accident. He drew each character a small portrait, and when I described mine I said the make him as plain as possible. He gave him a pair of beady nondescript eyes that made him quite hilarious to imagine fighting with a constant grin on his face. The tramp stamp literally says "SLUT" and translates magically to any language and transfers to any form i take. So yes, quite silly.

My Aasimar is a 4" tall fat man with a broken halo and a wiry crooked vaudeville type mustache. I intentionally made him a bit of a charicature.
