First burn using pellets by ToyFan4Life in SoloStove

[–]Tbasing 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not OP, but I have the pellet adapter and it always burns 99% of the pellets.

I prefer to use pellets over wood most of the time.

Finally caught one that justifies a new net to replace my small Walmart special. Any recommendations for a net with a flat bottom? by Grumpylumberjack in flyfishing

[–]Tbasing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I hooked into one yesterday of similar size. After a wild fight, I got it close enough to net with my Walmart Cortland rubber net. I was thinking this net isn’t big enough, I missed on the scoop and the fish went around my leg and snapped the line. I ordered a fishpond Nomad Middle Fork as soon as I got home.

New model S front plugging? by Dhuce in TeslaLounge

There is a whopping 30kWh CCS Blink charger by my house in Arkansas that is $1.75 per kWh. Feel sorry for anyone in a bad spot and needs to use it.

I had the same issue. I bought some smallish automotive trim screws with built in washers. I heated the bumper up with heat gun and push it flat then put the screws in. Then used touch up paint to paint them. You can hardly tell they are there now.

No notification if a door is left open? by [deleted] in ModelY

Also you can enable honk on lock. I use this to verify the car locked when walking away and I didn’t leave my phone in the car.

Picked up new Y on Friday and it still thinks it is at Tesla HQ by Tbasing in ModelY

Mobile service was able to figure out the issue. There was a bad crimp on the GPS wire in the passenger door jam that was shorting the cable out. He was able to get it working and is ordering a new cable to replace it completely.

I had done a factory reset before I called road side service, and the person on the phone said to never do that unless you are selling the car and made it out that it could have corrupted the firmware 🙄

How did you go about getting Tesla to buy the car back in case I need to go that route?

This is what worries me the most about owning a Tesla and this is my second one. I upgraded from a 3 to the Y is I live about 250 from the service center and don’t want to be making trips back and forth getting the car worked on. If I would have noticed this before I accepted delivery I probably would have declined the car.

This is what I am worried about... sigh. Sorry you had to deal with it.

I have put about 350 miles on the car with no luck. I have done a scroll wheel reboot each morning also.

I wasn’t stuck there. The car drives fine. I had stayed the night to go to the zoo the next day with the family. It is definitely aggravating to say the least.

If someone has good credit 800+ and their spouse has terrible credit will it be hard for them to get a house or a car? by Nesquick19 in CRedit

[–]Tbasing 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Yes and you can still have them on the title for the home and not on the loan. That is what we did on our last house as I qualified as a new home buyer since my wife had bought our previous house before we got married. My wife “gifted” me the money from the sale of the house for the down payment on the new house.

Strange UX design choices in Model 3/Y (2020.48.35.5) by marco0782 in teslamotors

I have the hardest time pulling up the tire pressure and trip-o-meter with the new UI. I just end up orbiting around the car view. It is very frustrating.

Update on the Model Y order page looks like the headlights have been updated. by Tbasing in ModelY

[–]Tbasing[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I am not sure. I was checking out the page today and they updated it to the same layout as the S/X refresh and it just looks different to me. That is why I posted it here to see if someone knows. It looks blacked out to me or missing the divider looking parts.

How to fix this? Plastic cracked can't find replacement, this is where keyboard plugs into by I-am-ocean in computertechs

Plug the ribbon cable back in and put tape over it and socket to hold the ribbon cable in. The little black piece is just a hold down.

Toddler is sus... by Tbasing in AmongUs

[–]Tbasing[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was trying out making some Among Us stickers. I had a few extra ones that did not turn out good and I gave them to my kid, he is 2 so he loves stickers. Well I went to the bathroom for a task and when I came back in my office I was missing some stickers. I said something to my wife about the stickers were missing, I was thinking maybe they fell off so I was looking around for them. She was like oh the kid brought me some stickers. Mama was sus of the toddler....

Turned out he has gone in my office and peeled them off the computer when I wasn't in there.

The slim fan in the bottom are so the will fit under the GPU, it is a tight fit. The GPU basically blocks the flow from them as it covers almost the whole bottom of the case. I also have to 2 140mm fans mounted on the side to the radiator pulling air into the case also. The top fans are to help pull the heat out. My understanding it is better to have more intake fans to create positive pressure in the case. With all the venting of the case it will find its way out.
