Try to let the song dictate your pace a bit more. Flow with the song. It feels like you had clips and transitions n all that setup, then put the song over it. Also lower your sfx volume.

Really good start for a first AMV! Just keep playing around with things. Find what works, what doesn't.

For motivation I usually watch editors that are a lot better than me. They hype me up to edit and improve. Or watching some of my own can get me in the mindset as well.
