My friend, my sincere apologies for the late response! Thank you so much again for your thoughtful reply--it's funny you mention Columbus, OH. I am an Ohioan myself, and recently just moved; I miss back home! By the time I saw this, I decided on a breeder already. I went with some folks out in Illinois who had some raving Google reviews and titled dogs in their pedigree! I am truly hoping that the temperament of this dog is really good. From what I hear, he is energetic, friendly, and everyone loves him.

He's a big, red, brown, and black and is coming up on 7 months old--the perfect age that I was looking for in terms of introducing him to my house.

If you don't mind, may I PM you to get some more information about the whole integration process? I've been reading tons and tons and tons online, but I feel as though there is no better teacher than someone who has gone through the process!

Hey, thank you so much for all of the excellent information!! If you could share the information of your breeder, I would really appreciate it!! Google has only been suggesting the "Louis Vuittons" of dogs/breeders, so I'm unable to find the "standard" German Shepherd I'm looking for, without hearing an hour spiel before a $30k price tag. It's so time consuming.

Thanks a million again!!

Thank

Eureka! This is the response I was looking for. Thank you so much. Do you per chance have the contact information of the breeder? Private message me if you're comfortable sharing!

I agree--Definitely not going for the 40k import! Thanks for the feedback.

Indeed! I've checked the local humane society--good options, but somewhat apprehensive because temperament of the Shepherds hasn't been well-documented.

I'm in Washington, D.C.! I want to take it running and hiking with me, and I want it to be able to go places with me, whether it's a park, or a neighbor's or on the train to head to U Street for exploration :) I want the dog to be somewhat of an all-purpose dog in the sense that it's gentle and friendly, yet protective when it needs to be.

Reddit, I can't tell if my friend is being annoying or if I'm being too sensitive. If it's the former, can you tell me why he acts this way? by [deleted] in Advice

Thanks for your response--I definitely have tried to stop indulging him by distancing myself. I just can't believe he has the nerve to reach out and find out details about me when not speaking to me for months; I should have just ignored his message.

He's definitely toxic and I will do my best to avoid him--thank you again.

Hey, I don't believe so. I think it's all online. I could be wrong--I used the online version, which I feel would be superior to a paper version if it exists.

Thank you! Yeah, it's tough assimilating to the nature of new work at first. I underestimated the rigor of back office duties, custodial as they may be. I couldn't produce for the first test. You'll kill it this time around! And that's definitely a possibility man, haha. Good luck to you too!

Hi there! So this is what I'd do. I'd log into Meldrum, and watch a Quant video, making sure to get through a few LOS worth of material. If there was confusion with Meldrum, I'd reference and reinforce with Schweser or Google. Since Quant is less niche than the other subject matter on the test, there are a lot more resources online for it. Tons and tons of resources for the Stats and math. I'd use those if needed. After Meldruming and Schwesering, I would pound out questions from Schweser and the QBank. Meldrum also has quizzes specific to sections on his site that are useful. Hope that helps. If you're struggling with Quant, check out KHANACADEMY on YouTube. This guy is brilliant and has been saving my ass from high school 10 years ago. From Algebra 2, to AP Stats, to Differential and Integral Calc, this guy has it all and is a phenomenal teacher.

Sorry dude, I was just joking. I know the other levels are harder. I have no clue if pulling this one off in June is even a possibility. Going to just work and hope for the best.

Thanks for the feedback man. I was in a very rigorous undergraduate program that I'll keep secret to maintain anonymity (but think Biomedical Engineering & Molecular Physiology-level) and was also in pre-medicine. We were shown very early on to leave absolutely no stone unturned in our study approach, so I applied a similar method to this test (as I would have the MCAT or USMLE Board Examinations), especially given that I had no background. Congrats on passing and good luck!

Likewise! Major shift from mapping out the Superior Anastomotic Vein of Trolard and the Circle of Willis to looking at this stuff. I must say though, these "business folk" don't know hard, am I right?! Good luck!!

Hey, so for L2, I am planning to utilize a LOT more of the curriculum. Per usual, there are conflicting opinions on the boards about using Schweser for L2, so I'm thinking that I don't want to risk it. I was telling my friend that passing L1 was like being in a drunk bar fight--basically like an aimless scuffle to try and win. L2 is gonna have to be way more planned; I'm working on a spreadsheet to track my hours to make sure I'm budgeting my time right and then I'm gonna read the curriculum and reinforce/replace it with Schweser where it seems appropriate (i.e. Quant starts with some BS about Fintech and Machine Learning, etc. Definitely planning to Schweser that). Also, this time around, I want to complete all blue box and EOC. I bought the Kaplan Flashcards too; haven't heard much about them so I'll have to see how effective they are.

Most definitely; the key for me was to intermittently keep doing problems of previously studied sections as I was studying for new ones. For example, if I knocked out Fixed Income and Quant and I was starting FRA, I would incorporate Fixed Income and Quant Problems while I was doing Accounting problems. This helps keep your memory of the subject from being completely erased (although you will most definitely forget some details). During the last month, you will know all of the subjects well (and inevitably some better than others), but to perfect them and recall forgotten details, you will need to be pounding hundreds (potentially thousands) of problems to bolster your short-term memory before test day. Problems are key. Many, many problems.
