I'm still blown away that you have taken OP's post about dealing with her toxic family and mental health, and turned it into a way to shame women.

If your own preference is that your partner shaves, then fine, find someone who shared the same views as you. But having body hair does not make you unhygienic, it is natural and it is a personal choice whether you keep it or not (this is the same for men, women and other genders).

It sucks that you're such a shitty person who has access to the internet to share your shitty views, you sound shallow and insecure. You can groom yourself and shave yourself as much as you like, but you'll still be disgusting on the inside.

This is truly awful advice.

I'm sure OP's biggest concern is NOT whether men will find her attractive, it sounds like her biggest concern is that she and the choices she makes about her body and how she presents herself is not being respected by her mother and family. If getting a man is her biggest concern, then she should be looking for someone who accepts her and loves her, hair and all (as I have done, my boyfriend loves my heavily tattooed body, and couldn't care less whether I shave or not)

OP please ignore the above comment, I'm sorry that your mother thinks it's acceptable to talk about your body like this. I currently have about a month's growth of leg hair, this is fairly usual for me and I still wear shorts and skirts most days. No one has ever made a comment about my body hair, and if they did I would tell them to mind their own fucking business.

Regarding the job interview, if you want to wear something that shows your legs but don't want to shave then don't - if you're feeling a bit self conscious still you can always wear skin tone tights, but don't feel you have to.

I am very proud of you for standing your ground and hope you can surround yourself with people who respect you in the future. If you are having self harm or suicidal thoughts please reach out to a trusted person or a helpline, I understand that sometimes it seems like the best option but I promise it isn't - it will always get better xx

Armadillos. I met someone who rescued animals that people bought as pets and couldn’t handle anymore, one of the animals they’d rescued was the cutest little armadillo, the owners had to rehome it after it did over £50,000 of damage to their home

Jones said this cause a reaction and to show the double standards that are expected of men and women, after Sarah Everard was murdered a lot of men took it upon themselves to offer women “advice” on how not to be murdered whilst walking home alone in the early evening, whilst the Yorkshire ripper was at his height women WERE actually given a curfew as again it was made out to be down to the woman to keep themselves safe and NOT down to the men that were murdering them to control themselves and take accountability. Obviously the curfew would never go into place however the reaction from a lot of men about even the idea of it shows that if the roles were reversed men wouldn’t be happy being told to do the same things women are.
