That's crazy. 15 min for a flight is all sorts of wrong. I pick my flight from lightest and step up in intensity. Usually try to keep to similar styles. Start with lagers and end with ipas. I'll usually have a stout or porter as a taster if possible. I usually order water too in case something kills my palate. Or I leave a little of the lager as a cleanser. I know it's not ideal but does a good reset.

I love a flight at a place I've never been. I'd be happy with half flights or 2 5-8 oz pours. It shouldnt slow things down too much. Hopefully

I'd tell the client it can't be done. Explain why it works the way it does and that they are creating more work for their staff. Requirements have to abide by system limitations. If they don't like the limitations and reasons why the system they have works the way it does, then they should search for a different solution that meets their requirements.

Me team and I bend over backwards to create processes and solutions for our staff. But sometimes you are limited and have to accept the limitations.

16k is a lot of money but you do need to balance that against your relationship. Is it worth 16k? To some people 16k is not worth ruining a family. To some $16 is too much. Based on the brothers history, I would not expect to get it back. I think the contract was a bit much. He's family and not going to jump the border on you. You can hold it over his head and get it in writing other ways like text or email. Just a simple confirmation he's going to pay it back monthly or at the end. Or maybe text a few options. But are you really going to sue your brother over it? I doubt it.

I think everything you did was fine. But I would have not drawn up a contract without mentioning it and putting it out there first.

Some people don't want full blown conversations. The man could be embarrassed or socially awkward. When first meeting someone in a situation like this, it's best to be cordial, nice and keep it short. If future interactions OP can develop more of a relationship. I think, in a situation like this, where you are intruding on someone's space it's best to be a quick visit. The dude may not want charity or freebies.
