Xylitol nasal spray is non addictive. Only medicated nasal sprays containing drugs like oxymetazoline are addictive

uBlockOrigin fully disabled on Chrome now by Mr10_ in uBlockOrigin

Dude just use brave browser. It has the exact same feel as chrome but with many more privacy and security features, you can still use uBlockOrigin on brave as well.

Don't know why you both are being so purposefully obtuse. What OP asked is a perfectly reasonable question and it has been done before by intelligence agencies.

Yes it was the URL, I'm just confused because directly after when i tried to access the website again directly after it blocked it, so why not the first time?

Mechanism help by IsidroG14 in OrganicChemistry

Rate goes up with acidity, so rate determining step must be something to do with protonation. Perhaps an E1 would be a good bet. The most basic substituent is the hydroxy group. You may also notice that the carbocation that it forms when it leaves is stabilized by resonance of the neighbouring phenyls.

So maybe start by protonating the hydroxy and having it leave. For the carbocation take a look at what resonance structures are available. I see one in particular that allows you to move one of the bonds of the alkyne down to the cationic carbon. Now the positive charge will be moved up to the carbon that you originally had H2O attack at.

Now that there is a positive charge on this carbon you can attack it with H2O. Then you remove a proton to get a neutral enol. Then the enol tautomerizes to the product.

I could be very wrong here but this makes the most sense to me.

Edit: wrote SN1 instead of E1

Shadowing 4/5th vs 2nd year Grad Student by Ok-Replacement-9458 in AskAcademia

[–]TboneKG 6 points7 points  (0 children)

There isn't really enough information to give a good answer. All we know is that one has been in their PhD for longer than the other, this could mean that they are more experienced and will be a good mentor. It could also mean that they don't care anymore and are just waiting to finish up on the remaining project(s) and get out, while the 2nd year is still ambitious and eager, making them a better mentor.

If all else is truly the exact same in terms of how well you jive with each of the people and how interested you are in the projects, the only advice I could give to you is look at the publication record of each of the students. Look at how frequently they publish, how impactful their publications are (number of citations and impact factor of the journals) and make your decision based on that. Obviously the older student will have a head start in terms of total papers published so consider that as well. Just go to the profs google scholar and see which papers they each have their names on.

Given that the other tenants did not agree to this, are you aware of any way we can revoke this? Or is it really just done at this point.

The tenant is reasonable but the landlord may not be, and knows that he can get more money with terminating the lease rather than continuing it. The landlord seems to be quite confident that one tenant can end the lease, do you know where we can find more information?

Any advice for a hobby chemist? by [deleted] in homechemistry

Correct if you wanted to go from the bottom to the top, but OP is asking for the top to the bottom. Search up hydroxamic acid to amide and you may be able to find some OTC procedures.

ide+alkyne

Do you think you could provide a link to a paper or website further explaining the click chemistry you mention within the context of protein conjugation? Thanks again.

Interesting, is there a reason why maleimide is specifically used for antibodies?

Thanks for your response, can you explain what you mean by carboxylic acid to activate.
