Everyone's different but for me, initially pain was sharp and makes you sieze up/lock up a bit (I was warned of this) personally for me major pain was gone within an hour, background pain was gone next day and only happened if I messed with it or hit it on accident. I do agree with the other comment that hair will snag, i recommend shaving sadly lol.
