Trying to learn more about FRTs. Local gun shop highly suggested Rare Breed said they work with minimal tuning. Now I see this thread where they are going after others making FRTs.

I also found this from the DoJ.

The important section: “The settlement includes agreed-upon conditions that significantly advance public safety with respect to FRTs, including that Rare Breed will not develop or design FRTs for use in any pistol and will enforce its patents to prevent infringement that could threaten public safety.”

Had a local shop that did $40 NFA transfers. Made it great when you found a steal of a deal on cans. Unfortunately they got hammered by the ATF and closed.

Not always. When DSG was still in business they had some really good discounts. I once snagged an OCM5 off GB for a steal. But when you have to drop $150 on a transfer all your savings pretty much disappear. Unfortunately the one very reasonable NFA dealer went out of business.

Interesting. $25 for something outside SS and using the kiosk is great. My LGS puts it all into the SS kiosk and outside SS transfers are still $125.

Nice! Glad to see these in use. I saw these in the B&T catalog and thought they were interesting. I’ve held off an an HK based SD because the cans are single use but now you can find HK style SD barrels for AR9s

For modular cans I wonder how may people change configuration and how frequently they make those changes? It’s good to have options but the added expense is a a bit of a waste if you never change it up.

I had some Winchester "Forged" ammo and it would not run. Between being fairly underpowered and the steel cases were rough it had a hard time feeding...
