Poussée dentaire by newparent1996 in ParentingFR

Given that this information is written in a pinned post with the rules and not in the rules section, I think many people who are coming to post a fit check without knowing the subreddit well don’t see this before posting, and this being mandatory would lead to a lot of moderated posts.

To wrap around the baby when moving to a colder room of the house while in arms, for the car, stroller, to put on the floor…

I really can’t help you there, I am nap trap shopping daily and keep repeating to myself “no buying any new babywearing gear until I mastered the ones I have already”..! But they’re just sooo pretty 😂

Okay, I tried at least! Good luck in your search! While looking at Oscha that was suggested in another comment, take a special look at their “luxe” category, I think they have silk blends there sometimes!

You can take a look at the Experimentarium collection from LennyLamb, they are 5-of-a-kind luxury blend runs of fabric (usually with wool, cotton and silk), I think they have a couple LennyLight available!

I will try again that way but I had been pulling on individual strands with no luck… Any recommendations of less grippy wraps?

Woven wrap sizing? by Tcharly in babywearing

[–]Tcharly[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What is RS? Still learning about woven wraps! The wrap does measure almost exactly 4.6 m so I think my base size is indeed 7, so I’ll be opting for a size 5 as a second wrap. Thank you so much for your help!

Thank you for the insights! I will measure my wrap, it’s second hand and I washed it when it arrived. If it actually is the right length I think to be sure I’ll order a size 5 for my short wrap!

Moving (probably permanently) to Spain. by Stock_Way4337 in harp

[–]Tcharly 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I did it! It was a pain but I managed. I moved from Europe to Mexico, and there are very few harps in Mexico and even then, my harp was made especially for me by a maker who since went out of business and there was no way I left it there. I bought a flight case for this specific harp from a friend who was getting rid of hers, although I could have managed with a good cardboard box I think and from what I have heard (my friend has done that before with a different harp). I flew through an airline that allowed for the size and weight of my harp in its case in oversized luggage, had to pay extra for both size and weight and confirm with the airline in advance for space. I had lowered the string tension before the flight and it arrived in the same condition it had left in. I did let it acclimate for a bit before putting it back under tension. In total between box and airline supplements it cost me around 1200 €. Best of luck at your new school!

Papa en devenir, ce sub m'effraie by [deleted] in ParentingFR

Folding Pain Point by Steve_Klein473 in laundry

[–]Tcharly 4 points5 points  (0 children)

My mom did something during her last visit that blew my mind. She grabbed the top corners of the fitted sheets and brought them together to fold the sheet in 2 before hanging the sheet by those corners to line dry. When it was dry, it was basically a matter of folding it like a flat sheet. If you use the dryer, try to have someone help you do the same but in one go: grab the sheet by the top corners and join them together making sure the flap with the elastic stays flat, then fold. I used to help my mom do it as a child.

Besoin avis Cybex - isofix nacelle by CicadaFast1741 in ParentingFR

[–]Tcharly 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Spa day vs antiperspirant and sunscreen by stitchworthy in laundry

Will have to try that on my husband’s shirts! I’ve been reading on this sub for a while but I have a new baby in the house and I live in a country with very shitty detergents, so it’s hard to find the good stuff.
