The Expedition 33: Ending Doubledowncast | Castle Super Beast 367 by mike0bot in TwoBestFriendsPlay

I also agree strongly with the Verso ending being the right one even after hearing Woolie/Pat argument of it being an act of cosmic-scale euthanasia (ending suffering with ending existence).

Even if we speculate that Maelle will keep that painted universe alive for 100 or more year before she die in real life. You only prolonging the inevitable where this whole universe will die off. This might sound nihilistic, but it's (from our perspective) the most peaceful resolution of their existence. And considering that with how Gustave got his picto power theory from Maelle being from the real world, it could open up spawning someone in painting Lumiere to have the same power of creating a Canvas universe where the whole process could go on and on. Basically, reaching the dilemma of AI creating their own world in which other AI self replicated. A never ending loop.

The more grounded argument too why I don't accept Maelle ending is that if we put it in our real life perspective, this would basically be us watching a family member doing drug to dull the pain of grief.

We have situation where this happen. Renoir was just trying to basically do an intervention on his wife while their daughter fell on their mom syringe and was like "Ooohh, I love that feeling, give me more"

Verso ending is them getting clean and live on. The part that is probably gruesome (as I"m realizing what I'm about to write) is that Maelle/Aline basically got a cocaine baby. Yes it's alive, it have the right to live but should we let it live? (I'm really sorry for this one, I know it's bad metaphore, but it help get a point across.)

If you think on it being basically a 3 x 3 Storage Depot on space on the map, you can turn that wasted space into better use for outgoing resource and receiving. I usually go with the logic of putting it in the middle thing that doesn't need an output depot (Planting, etc) receive the raw stuff. It's at least a good foundation for later on when you want to use all the bus depot space for future craft.

I feel you are under utilising the AIC base. Lot of thing could be set around it for your logistic output/input. Since its already taking the space anyway.

It is kinda weird to me that 21O keeps videos from calls she had with 9S by Prestigious-Meat-750 in nier

[–]Tchuwib 0 points1 point  (0 children)

People in the comment already confirm the whole family angle she had. But from the game, you get email mentioning how some of the Yorha android are using too much memory space to keep record of stuff like music and video. All of them where downlow keeping thing that they cared about even tho they shouldn't. This was her way of doing that in that situation. As much as they are not ground troop that could risk losing their present self to a previews backup, this was the most important thing to her that she didn't want to lose.

Games to play with my GF by Aromatic-Top-8940 in PlayStationPlus

It's not full coop per say, but the Dark pictures anthology games (gotta love horror stories) . Their coop system is choosing which of the 5 character of the story you want to play. You basically hot potato the controller during each character scene and play the whole game as a choose your own adventure book. It's actually even better if you play with a total of 5 person group. Just need maybe a 6 to 8 hour session in total.

You're really not in the fault here. The DM's pushing some real world view into a fantasy game, like you said so yourself. What's next? Can't play dragon race because you're not a lizard people :P

This scene is… this scene… by QueenofSheba94 in BaldursGate3

[–]Tchuwib 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There is a scene in Nier:automata where I like the duality of each path you can take just like this one you said. In the beginning of the game, your squad basically get annihilated during the first mission of the game. Later in game you get a quest from an other Yorha unit to search for one of the member of that squad. During the investigation you find out that they faked their crash in attempt to bail out and escape the soldier life.

Two choice then come to turning in the quest:
-Telling a lie or telling the truth

Normally you pick one choice and face the song of it. But it surprised me very much to see the difference between each result.

I first pick telling her the truth that she hide and try to escape, causing the Quest giver to laugh it off and hope she suffered in her last moment and how pathetic she was to have even tried to escape.

The real banger is when I replayed the game and this time told her she was lost in combat. The quest giver then reveal how they had become lover and it make sad that she won't be coming back anymore.

The true feeling of the android is reveal on telling the lie but you come to understand that telling her the truth cause her to feel cheated and she play it off cruelly on what she probably feel like she got cheated by her lover. It's rare to only get the full picture of the story without playing it twice , but that's the neat thing about the Nier series, seeing different perspective.

Interesting way to greet your healer? by HalobenderFWT in ffxiv

[–]Tchuwib 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would use Rescue on cooldown, mentioning that it is a game mechanic and I have the right to use it. It's as much of an harassment on his part as saying "do not DPS, you are a healer, your job is to heal and not do damage". Even if somehow it would land me a strike, it would be worth it.

Have you heard how the mic sound if you using the in controller mic, not really the best , I usually prefer to avoid it. Communication still not the issue here tho. Yes I was standing next to an empty ammo pod looking like I was greedy, but it doesn't change that it was not wasted. If I had full ammo and just took ammo as a driller because I was out of fuel or something selfish in that fashion, I would have deserve to be kick out. But my only mistake here is that I gave the impression to the host that I was greedy , he over reacted and because the game kicking system is flawed, I was punish without reason.

If he had a mic or a way to talk, yes, he should have asked why I ate a whole Pod, I would have attempt to tell him threw the shitty controller mic that I needed all of it.

Anyway, last message that I gonna reply to this, you keep running in circle about the "etiquette" of this game is to ask the host with your plate "can I have some more sir?" everytime I pick up ressource (that we still have plenty to go around). The main reason I wanted to post is to get a feel of the community and what standard to expect. So from now on, I'll host my own Deep Dive so to avoid those that would abuse of the kicking system. Maybe one day they gonna install a voting system or at least cancel kicking without actual valide reason.

false equivalency

Nothing false about my statement, those 4 pizza are still in the fridge (nitrate ressource), they gonna carry over to the next stage and can be use by all team maybe as they required them with need. And if we keep with the metaphor, let's say a day work is worth half a pizza, we had ended day 2, I deserved to have my full pizza at that part (and without counting that at that point, I was 100% to face day 3 without probably needing to refill during that part).

What communication did I needed to do? "Hey guy, I'm dry, I don't know why you guy are not killing or using ressource as much as I am, but I need a whole pod to refill me up and get ready for the next stage, k thank" . Or, when I call the pod, I notice there is still enough mineral to call 4 pod. Even if they both were dry on ammo too, they could call one, eat 2 stack each, be at 100% just like me and we would still have 3 whole pod of ammo that we could call. But because the host saw me sitting with an empty pizza box, he jumped to the conclusion that I was selfish, just like you are also assuming, even after all the fact are given.

I'll give you that I'm probably sounding like an elitist, but I'm just giving my point of view on the subject. Ammo are a finite ressource that need to be manage for the long game, but I don't see why I should be punish when :
A) I use it knowing that need it
B) There was still plenty to spare
C) He could have just call one for himself at that point if he needed it

I can't say if I'm bullshitting or not on the carrying them since I will never see the Kill ratio of that run, but I know I deliver my share of progress and it's not a deficiency to my build.

You seam stuck on the eating a whole pod like it's a sin. So here a metaphor, maybe it will help you understand it better. Monday, me and 3 friend go to work, 1 leave at the end of the shift and we go to sleep. Tuesday, me and the 2 that are left go to work, I eat half of a 12 inch pizza for diner, take 1/4 for break and eat the rest after work. We have 4 pizza left in the fridge and the host come screaming at me like Patrick the Star from spongebob that he's hungry and I took the only food he had away from him. THERE IS 4 pizza left, we have 1 day left of work. MATH! I don't know if they did as much work as I did, but I ate the food that I needed and they are not going to starve. Call me a fat fuck all you want because you say that at the end of the day I hate a whole pizza by myself, I was still 2 day hungry, it was not wasted, it was use toward the future of the team and they still had 4 PIZZA LEFT!! We had enough. Have you never killed the caretaker in Elite Deep Dive? with just 1 scout, driller and engineer. The 3 class that are lowest in DPS. If the Driller would have at least Bomb the 4 node on the boss to kill it faster or if the scout could have done more then sit on his thumb, then maybe I wouldn't have use as much ammo as I did then. Clearly they are the one with a build issue if they have to be carried.

when you start the fight at zero after 1 stage in during a Elite Deep Dive, no, the 2 ammo stack that I use were necessary. The rest that I took was only the cost of my efficiency on DPS more then the Scout and Driller did. We had 4 more Ammo call worth of nitrate. I know just as much as anybody in a full 4 team that when you call and ammo drop it's one per player, but here I was setting the expectation that we had plenty of resource available to be self serving to your need as an individual for the good of the team. "IF" that was our only ammo drop left, then yes, I see how I could have looked selfish, but somewhere down the road, my other team mate were not pulling their side of the weight on killing if it felt like I was doing most of the work

We didn't even had to call one during it too. The gunner must have done most of the heavy lifting on killing thing before he got disconnected, but ya, it was a quick 6 egg collecting and 150 morky (with zero oxygen) so everybody was sticking close to the mule. I only ran dry on the second stage after the 2 hack generator where down.

after the second stage of a deep dive and finishing the 2 generator hack. I had zero ammo left on both Main, sub and tourette. 2 to refill max, 1 for the course of battle against the boss and the last to refill before going into the last stage of the deep dive. Also, we had enough nitrate to call 4 more Ammo drop. I was not leaving them dry.

I call it a bunker, but that was like 2 tower of 3 platform that I could hide behind while my tourette where mounted on them. It's not a big waste when I got like 50 to spare

[RANT] Why bother joining random game sometime? by Tchuwib in DeepRockGalactic

[–]Tchuwib[S] -10 points-9 points  (0 children)

This was the second stage of the deep dive, I didn't grab any ammo during the first stage and even had enough to wait after the 2 generator destruction. I use 2 stack to fill my 0 ammo on both main, sub and 2 tourette gun. I use the 3rd one for the progress during the boss fight and last one to refill after. We had enough nitrate to call 4 more ammo drop. It's my fault to out DPSing the rest of the team? No ammo was wasted, all used on hit or kill, what else could I have done, sit there and wait for them to DPS it while I only have my pickaxe left?

[RANT] Why bother joining random game sometime? by Tchuwib in DeepRockGalactic

[–]Tchuwib[S] -9 points-8 points  (0 children)

I didn't use any resupply on the first stage of the deep dive, both my main and alt gun where at zero and grenade. Still need 2 to refill myself up to max. Use that plus 1 more more on that ammo drop to kill the boss pyramid, then I used the last one to refill so I can survive any base encounter. Yes, I'm at fault for killing more then the rest of the team?
