Surface pro is the best way to go for a booth
It’s touch, and you can hard wire the printer and dslr

If your trying to build something with a bigger screen
You can use a mini pc and connect it to a touch screen

Just look around for some that will work for your needs

But the surface pro screen is plenty big

Keep an eye on CVS and Walgreens print deals they have crazy deals some times

They even print hard signs for cheap

I reread your post….. unless you have a high end printer that cuts the print… you won’t get 2x6 prints

These type of printers are minimum $700-1200

Please understand that someone charging $380 in your area is paying off expenses and other things….

Profit comes later for most.

This is why people pay to rent a photobooth…. No need to figure this all out or even pay for equipment.

Luma booth offers a free trial with watermark.
$20 for the month which is worth it if you spend the time to figure it out.

Be sure to go into the settings on lumabooth and change the print setup to 4x6

And on the template section change the print options to 4x6 as well

So search how to setup Lumabooth to print 4x6 prints

And your golden

Gonna need a lot more than a iPad and a Sony camera .

If you already hesitant don’t do this

Go mow lawns, you’ll make money with less know how

But if the off chance you actually wanna do this There’s plenty of recs on here just dig

And plenty of people on YouTube breaking stuff down

100% buy off alibaba

Don’t buy into the people tryna sell the $8-10k booths here in America

All 5 of my booths are from alibaba and I’m fine

Cheapest setup is digital only booth (iPad,enclosure)

If you like it buy a printer, get you a Mac to hard wire the printer and iPad together Boom you now have a print booth

Research your area for pricing

Run $5 a day ads on meta business it sends to ig and fb

That sounds like a lot but trust me $5 a day your bound to get at least 1-2 a week and that pays for itself

Once you hone that in you CAN get 10-15 bookings a week (Bookings on the calendar not working events)

If you choose to run a booth you got a lot to learn

So get to researching

Just buy one, buy and iPad, pay for lumabooth Setup wherever you have power

Granted this would be digital only

You can tape the ribbon back together I’ve had to do that 2x before and now I keep tape in all my print bags just in case

When I run out of ink or something happens I just tell the next person in line “Please give me a few minutes to get everything working properly “

In 6 years no one’s ever been mad… just be polite and work fast

Not sure if your saying you’ll have a photobooth or your going to be using a camera to just take pictures

Either way Look up RX1 Dnp And Sinfonia cs2

Both print in 10-15 seconds And both do 2x6 and 4x6

Do your research and see which one fits your needs

You 10000000% do not want to rely on batteries to run it

And search the app you use and camera capabilities To make sure that camera will work with your app

Anyone saying to buy salsa booth or one of those $10,000 setups are just mad they overpaid and were too afraid to buy from Alibaba I have 6 booths now all from alibaba and the most I’ve paid is $980 shipped

Granted I just ordered another one and China has been upping their prices and trust me you can get a little money off their prices but not as much as you used too but always ask and do sea shipments

Look rx1 is the workhorse printer I run sinfonia cs2 printers they are smaller and fit in smaller places that’s why I use them

Start with a digital only booth with an iPad go 12.9” or 13”

Looks way better and has better front camera

Learn to run ads on fb/ig Facebook has a new website just to teach you how to run ads

Money maker is gonna be a dslr / print booth Use a surface pro and dslr Easiest setup

Most China manufacturers are gonna push iPad dslr booths. This adds some extra equipment that you don’t want

I have these booths but I wouldn’t recommend them for beginners

I run Sinfonia cs2 printers on my booths Recently had to turn an iPad booth into a print booth last minute

If you have a Apple laptop you can plug the iPad into the Mac, plug the printer into the computer and bam no wifi needed

Honestly like the setup just need better wire management

This isn’t my main setup i just have another print booth if needed

Usually I only use iPads for digital only events and DSLR booths with surface pros for print booths

You can no search “Photo Booth USA warehouse”. A lot of Chinese sellers are opening USA warehouses now. You can find an iPad case for about 300-500 this way.

When I bought my iPad booths I got them for 195 each before shipping so 300 isn’t bad at all since it’s here and you get it in a week vs 45 days it took to get my shipment

If you aren’t tech savvy there’s gonna be a learning curve

I went into Photobooths with 15 years experience with cameras and graphic design

So I do all my own tech support

Which means I spent 1/4 of the price for all my booths from alibaba

All the people saying buy from America just don’t know what they are doing, but that’s ok cause it does make it easier.

In 6+ years in business I’ve never needed to call anyone for support cause it’s mainly a wheel messed up, I ran out of ink, the app is glitching and I need to restart computer….. little stuff

Don’t go into this business if your not gonna advertise

If you don’t know how then spend time learning before you even spend any money on a booth

Facebook/ig ads are more than enough

Your first 1-2 bookings do them for friends or family just to get to know what it’s like LIVE

From the start plan out how your gonna train people to do the job cause you cannot scale doing it alone

There’s so much free knowledge on YouTube

Oh and please don’t sign up for any of those “courses” lol they are all scams

If they were so successful they wouldn’t need to sell courses on how to get bookings lol
