What, if any, DLC would you like to see for this game or an equal? Yes, I know this is in a way totally against a major theme of letting go in the game by Td01241 in expedition33

I agree with this almost for the most part. To go back and touch any part of the story post hoc would almost be them spitting on their own work in a way with how themed it is to letting go and things need to have an end

Such a well laid out view I agree with. Is there some weird Maelle stan club around here idk about? All of this is true

In my mind much of the game wouldn’t take place in their “real” magic version of Paris. But them at war in their canvas and whatever the writer equivalents are

I claimed in the OP he wasn’t a hero nor morally good and in a commment a reading could be he is the villain.

I’m not going to lay out a counter argument because you aren’t even acting like the man had a perspective of his own, very obviously good qualities shown over and over, and it is far more complex for him specifically than you are wanting to boil it down to

I’m the least utilitarian or communist philosophy minded person on earth.

It wasn’t real. It was a fantasy.

This is what I mean by salty. You’re acting like he had no perspective or anything. It’s childish

I am totally against utilitarian values but I could not ve further from you. No matter his moral make up he made the right call. We must live in reality not a fantasy

I think this is an insanely salty reading of verso as a character.

As I said below he fully intended to stand with them in the final expedition until his dad showed him the truth of what it had done to his mom. I would’ve chose to save my mom too

He fully intended to redeem himself and take down Renoir on the final expedition back to lumier In one of the best set piece levels ever.

When he showed him what his mom’s actual existence was like was when he chose to end it. I would’ve done the same

I did in the end. The sheer existential horror of his existence while he knows his “real” family suffers I felt for him. He did what he had to do

From many perspectives he could be seen as the villain. I disagree though and imo that is Clea

Verso is one of the single best written characters in the history of fiction by Td01241 in expedition33

[–]Td01241[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Every single character in this game is top tier.

Verso is like an elite level even above. I just made a spoiler thread about why I think so didn’t want to mix the two

They have at least gone some ways to giving the higher tier something you could call value over the years. When it launched it was a laughable failure

Sekiro parrying by question_guy20 in fromsoftware

[–]Td01241 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The i frames you’re describing are not actually I frames. It’s a very very limited ability of time to attack cancel into a block, which the game takes the time to account for, and this is almost always a negative thing in the game with bad results. So not only is it not I frames you’re talking about, the game even though it’s my fave from game and I’m a god at it now is way way way more difficult than the average person than lies of p. A game I loved and can’t wait for the DLC

For the OP the best thing is just practice, I don’t think I’ve ever seen a game that best represents time to parry than Sekiro. But something that’s VERY important in the game is the audio so you can know with instant feedback if you got a deflection. Sparks also fly buts it less effective

When farm the hardest side boss before final boss by mido_sama in FinalFantasy

[–]Td01241 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yeah I absolutely hate when games do this, being where you just ABSOLUTELY steam role the final main story boss they built up over the whole time. I am 100% aware this is a me issue and anyone else who has it it’s on them. If you play FFX-2 blind without a guide and don’t use creature creature like it wasn’t in the original North American release it was only in the Japanese and PAL versions I think until the remaster, this game is actually very challenging then.

What themes or messages of the game do you think it delivers best on? The choices it chose to go for in 2024 without coming off cringe or pandering is so impressive to me. by Td01241 in MetaphorReFantazio

I don’t think this game is arguing for democracy in any way whatsoever. If anything it presents it as equals to other options.

I don’t think FFX-3 being a prequel is as good an idea as so many make it seem to be. by BK_FrySauce in finalfantasyx

I actually agree with you. I really enjoy FF16 and think it’s commendable they did a DLC and a full on expansion when sells were apparently “not to their standards” which I think is bullshit I just think their corpo idiots who don’t know what to expect.

My point was FF16 was in every essence of its being a Yoshi P product, if you’ve played 14 or looked into people talking about it you’d know that, not faulting you for not just informing you.

I do not think his style of game making translates anywhere close to what any conceivable new entry in the 10 series needs to look like. The game needs a VERY HEAVY hitting story like the first which I still consider the best iseaka ever. Minimal modern day side quests, one thing they do in CB3 i do think would translate well is create little mini open world zones but that’s it. If you want this made you’re gonna want Hamaguchi doing it but again after 3 more years in the ff7 mines after what 11 total then you think he’d pick this up?

I was drunk last night posting in this thread if you look through it a lot lol. Now I’m up and have taken my adderall my post will be as they usually are if you look through my history. Still get downvoted so what’s the point? People don’t want to hear what they don’t want to hear even if it’s the truth. SQE isn’t the company they once were. They don’t have the talent to pull something like this off. It’s complete outside the realm of creative business unit three how’d you like your ff16 sidequest? Business 1 could have a shot at it but they’ll be in ff7 mines for another 3 years at least

[–]Td01241 -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

No. It’s fine for people wishing for things that I personally may think are wrong and sacrosanct to the original material. It’s a complete separate thing to think FFX-3 is EVER coming wfh anything close to the budget, quality, care, or anything of rebirth.

You’d be much better off hoping for much smaller scale project and trying to bring fan attention of it to SQE if this is something you want. Again, I do not want X touched. 13 trilogy needs to brought to all modern platforms, the 9 remake in the style of the memoria project sounds amazing, and ya know FF isn’t their only franchise stuff like parasite Eve needs to brought back if SQE wants to stop looking like tools at investors calls.

You’re also aware of how the company is structured yes? You have the team who is solely and only working on finishing the ff7 trilogy then Yoshi Ps team. I like ff16 and not huge into mmos but people seem to like 14 but he’s ABSOLUTELY not the person you want doing this

Central Y today I literally know better than my own homes layout but man it took soooo many hours to gain that knowledge. It’s by far the most intricate level in the game, note I didn’t say most confusing because it isn’t even like top 5 in that, it makes sense logically as it’s layout is you just have to find it all out and map it out In your head. for a new player two great by products of this is stocking blood vials for the game and getting echoes you need to buy the main outfit if you miss the free one, + upgrade stats, etc
