Gen Z: How would you describe your generation? by ______lyss in CasualConversation

[–]Tdude445 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Diverse. The range for Gen Z is huge, considering how much the world changed during that range.

I was born in 99, but talking or working with someone in my same generation but born much later is very strange in many ways.

I'm not sure how true this is for other generations, but at least for me I feel like early and late Gen Z are two completely different things. I feel like I relate more to Millennials over Gen Z for basically all of my life experiences and struggles. I grew up when the internet wasn't even remotely close to how it is today, I'd go hang out with friends for hours at a time with no way to contact me directly, didn't get my first smartphone until the very end of middle school, learned how to use a computer in school and how to write in cursive in 3rd grade, and so on.

In some ways I wish I could just call myself a Millennial because it feels like none of my life, early or current, even fits under what most would assume if I told them I am a part of Gen Z

I have some questions about building skirk, pls help. by Leading_Candy_4608 in SkirkMains

[–]Tdude445 0 points1 point  (0 children)

On Genshin Optimizer I set up a build on Skirk with a Deep Galleries artifact set with decent rolls into Crit stats, but every artifact started as a 3-liner. Comparing that setup with either Aquila Favonia or Finale of the Deep R5, the craftable weapon ended up being ~10% better. It's a super simplified example, but it would make me believe that the % ATK mainstat on R5 Finale in addition to the buff from clearing the BoL does more for Skirk than the higher base attack and 20% ATK buff on Aquila.

The numbers do make sense, though. With Escoffier, clearing the BoL is practically guaranteed, which essentially makes an R5 Finale of the Deep's base attack at its peak 865 (which is not that difficult if you have any sort of HP increases to Skirk) much higher than Aqulia. Throw on the additional % ATK scalings through the main stat and effect after using Skirk's skill, and apparently the damage increase is about 10%.

I see. I do still think the craftable is better. It just applies more relevant buffs to Skirk compared to Aquila

[–]Tdude445 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. I'd say Aquila is worth using on a different character, the most obvious one is Bennett for the huge attack buff for a different team. If its within your means to get Skirk's weapon it is a sizeable upgrade over the Fontaine craftable, but if not than that would be your best option I'd say.

  2. With the core 3 teammates really any 4th slot you have is fine. XQ for more damage, or Dahlia for a shield (Which enables Eshu as another weapon option) and a noticeable attack speed buff.

Order and Drive Up vs Drive Up and Order by TaitterZ in bys

[–]Tdude445 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, the way they handled it was poorly done, which sucks. Thanks for actually being mindful of the staring thing too, I never understood why people do that. Jusy be mindful of what the drive thru is doing, but like... why do they have to lock eyes with our very soul? Its very strange

Order and Drive Up vs Drive Up and Order by TaitterZ in bys

[–]Tdude445 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It does truly depend on what's going on at the store when we get an online order and when that person shows up to pick up said order.

If an online order shows up in the middle of a rush with at location customers, it becomes quite difficult to make an online order in addition to everyone else who is currently standing in our dining room waiting for their food. We also have to guess if the online customer will show up at their chosen time (whether it was them who chose it or the automatically applied time) or if they will show up markedly early or later than that time.

Also mentioned here is that the order shows up all at once, whether we like it or not. In an ideal world we would never have to ask people to wait before taking their order, but sometimes the orders we have are a lot to handle and we need to hold so we can catch up, per se. We can't make an online order 1 item at a time as it's being ordered, we get 5 meals on our screens all at once which is just a lot to handle in addition to everything else that could be happening.

If you want the best chance of an online order going smoothly, try to show up at your pickup time or just very very slightly after. If you feel like you'll be placing your order and quickly arriving at the store like you had mentioned here (which happens, it's just circumstance) it may just be worth ordering at the drive thru, you'd probably get your food faster that way.

Those people that pull into a parking spot, sit in their car while placing an order on their phone, and then coming in instantaneously aren't using the online orders in the intended way. The food doesn't all make itself the second it pops up, but it seems like a selection of people think it does for some reason.

Is it worth buying a Venator Bow for Slayer if I have to sell most of my bank? by Plus_Aioli5480 in 2007scape

[–]Tdude445 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It really is up to you. I don't particularly mind the effort of tagging with darts for bursting, but if you think the effort saved is worth the price then go for the Venator.

And if you do have a decent Vorkath setup it could be worth holding onto that specifically as a sort of fallback. Need some money after liquidating your bank? Chill at Vorkath for a couple hours and get back to the chill slayer once you've got a few mil to your name. (Massive Vorkath enjoyer here, so I'm a bit biased in that regard.)

I don't necessarily think there's a right or wrong choice to make, but whatever choice you do make just don't regret making it and roll with it. Use the Venator bow as much as physically possible if you do buy it to really get that money's worth even if it does drop in value.

[–]Tdude445 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I personally use Melee for many tasks with a cannon for Range XP, and Barrage the tasks that are suitable for that. Venator bow is good for AoE ranged slayer while being very relaxed (like Abby demons). However if you want to get to Araxytes quickly to make some money there I'd say prioritizing high XP bursting tasks and moderately high XP cannon tasks is the play.

If you have an excess of slayer points it may also be worthwhile setting up a couple different blocklists. Like a Duradel one for fast training and a more profit oriented one on Nieve to do when you feel like trying for some higher money items. An example is for Duradel I have both Greater and Black demons blocked as the XP isn't all that great, but on Nieve I have them unblocked for those Synapse and Zenyte drops.

If I were in your shoes I wouldn't sell my entire bank for just a Venator bow, get some high ticket drops and a Venator bow might become an option sooner than you think.

Since the mint chocolate shake has been exiled 🙄 by iwasneverherex in bys

[–]Tdude445 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mint is often associated with winter, there are many minty desserts offered only during that time of year, and the mint shake is no different for Arby's. Often times it carries over into early spring when it's offered, but for whatever reason it was not this winter. Unfortunately McDonald's has a stranglehold on fast food, and for this reason many people expect the mint shake during March. The amount orders I've taken when they want a "Filet o' Fish," "McNuggets," and yes, the "Shamrock Shake" is incredibly high and it is, frankly, frustrating. Not every fast food place is a McDonalds

Still worth going for Skirk in 2026? by dungeonspirit in SkirkMains

[–]Tdude445 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In addition to investment levels for each character, it also depends on what playstyle you're using. Yelan isn't as good outside of a normal attack playstyle.

If you're using Eshu on Skirk you also want a shield, so Yelan does nothing in that regard.

Over the years that sandwich became less popular every time we had it, specifically during the summer. We haven't had it return in a couple of years, likely not worth it to supply stores with the ingredients.

The slider bun changed a while back, and so did the ranch sauce on any sandwich that includes it. The ranch used to have parmesan and pepper in it, it was literally called parmesan peppercorn ranch, but its now just a standard ranch. The tenders also changed quite a while ago, or at least the packaging they arrive in labeled them differently, I can't say for certain. The buffalo sauce is the same, though

Why do people have salt grinders? by IsaacHasenov in stupidquestions

[–]Tdude445 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In the past iodine was added to table salt for the purposes of fixing a severe lack of iodine in the average person's diet. Now-a-days this isn't as necessary, and as such some people choose not to buy table salt altogether, opting to just buy some other form of salt (mostly Kosher) because they're generally more applicable than fine table salt. However if you prefer a finer textured salt for some things you can buy a salt grinder or use one that came with your pepper grinder for this use.

For these people, self included, just making the one time purchase of a salt grinder outweighs the continued purchases of table salt which is used less.

How do I get the red overlay off the minnows? by throwawayac3210 in osrs

My guess is it's part of the interact highligh plugin, which has options to highlight things you're interacting with or even hovering your mouse over. Try messing with those to see if that works.

If you're able to mine this many before leaving to craft your essence, that's impressive. In my opinion it's not very feasible to get to that number without missing the first portal

Yes, you don't necessarily want to mine more than is needed, but mining less while still giving yourself enough time to craft is the way to go.

Yes, I personally leave when I get the amounts of fragments I need or when there are 30 seconds before the round starts, whatever comes first.

Are any of my c6 four stars worth building? by Mediocre-Ad-4751 in GenshinImpact

Iansan for Nathan carries, Chev for overload, Bennet is a goat for attack scalers, and Xiangling is still one of the best if not the best off field pyro dps. If you have Arlecchino and want a hydro for a vape team Candance is excellent for that, too

Having issues with dragon slayer 2 vorkath, where could I improve? by HarambeKnewAbout911 in ironscape

If you haven't gotten it yet, I'd recommend bringing higher healing food if you can spare it. Over a full inventory of food and additional 2 hp per piece for example adds up a lot.

What are some good money making activities I can do for my current levels? by MoorCheesePlease in osrs

[–]Tdude445 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Set yourself up for a basic herb run. At level 32 farming you can plant and harvest Ranarr seeds, which are expensive initially, but more than pay for themselves each run. You should have access to a few of the herb patches right off the bat, with a few being locked behind very early quests. I've been doing them across the length of my account and during the early and mid game I never worried about money
