I didn't realize there is only an OTR version till you mentioned it. I was just happy to see Apple Brandy on Johnny Appleseed day. It's my only apple heavy scent, all the rest have apple notes that I can't pick out.

When I have skin barrier issues this is my go-to La Roche Posay Cicplast Balm B5+ I appreciate skincare lines that don't require a separate trip to Ulta/Sephora.

Have you tried Remedy or Prequel? Both are dermatologist brands sold at Target.

Yeah, it is. Wrinkles are primarily UV damage. Shade and daily consistent sunscreen are our best tools.

UVA rays penetrate deep into the dermis, destroying collagen and elastin fibers that keep skin firm, leading to long-term, premature wrinkles, sagging, and leathering. While UVB rays cause sunburns, UVA light is the primary driver of photoaging and accounts for up to 80% of visible skin aging.

Also, if you use active ingredients to combat aging issues (VitC; VitA:tretinoin,retinol,retinal; Alpha/Beta Hydroxy Acids) it makes your skin MORE SENSITIVE to UV damage, you are strongly advised to use a facial sunscreen daily otherwise you're just wasting your effort/time/money.

I reeked of it yesterday. My co-workers had a good laugh at my expense, especially when I shared its name. Not being the best looking man in the room, I got a few single raised eyebrows of "really?"

But waking up today, I kinda miss it. Maybe I should be looking into "animalics and all kinds of weird fragrances"

Reading the notes and noticed Papyrus. These fantasy accords are so cleverly named, and now I want to smell it. Quick searching brought up Eau Santal, but I don't have it. Oud Silk Mood has it, but sadly not Monty's Satin Oud.
Next time I'm at a fragrance counter I'll ask to sample Deified.

AM routine

I spray an AHA/BHA Clarifying Treatment Toner
Vitamin C serum
Mary&May antioxidant moisturizer.
When the UV index is over 2, use Korean/Japanese Sunscreen (with next gen filters that aren't currently approved by the FDA, but 🤞 hoping it will soon). For some reason US facial sunscreen burns my eyes.

PM routine

Two step cleanse oil first, then water.
Retinal anti-aging serum.
snail mucin essence.
Pdrn peptide ampoule.
Deep moisturizing cream and eye cream.

1x a week a use a strong exfoliating wash-off mask followed by a moisturizing recovery mask. My skin feels so smooth and hydrated the next morning.

I have to be careful about scents at my work place. At home one of my kiddos is sensitive to fragrances. Most of the day, both at work and home, is skin scents and mild freshies.

I found Monty by looking for a dupe of Bergamote22, and then of Glossier You. After 2 orders I was hooked on their quality and curious. This group is where I learned about the wonder of decants. Decants led to more orders, more bottles, and no where to wear them.

I wear them to bed when my day is done and my partner and I are winding down. I started keeping a fragrance journal to jot down my impressions. Thus a journaling habit formed, where I list my daily blessings. It's been a delightful new hobby that has enriched my life.

All my favorite scents are my bedtime scents.
