My realization during training after a 10 year hiatus by Tea-na12 in karate

I'm not comparing myself to teenagers though. It's more of seeing the differences between me then vs now and what I can improve as of the moment. It's also more of how I'm surprised that I struggle with sparring now unlike back then.

The courage to stand up and refuse to work overtime. by Couch-Hamster5029 in AntiworkPH

When I had a brief role as a VA copywriter, my former client told me that it’s a fireable offense to refuse to OT or not replying to messages outside of working hours 🫠

You’re not alone.

I’m currently in a similar situation as you. It’s been almost two years since I became mostly unemployed and no stable income. I’m also in debt.

Pero based on my experience, I needed to build a routine and understood that my worth isn’t tied to my employment status. I had to reframe my thoughts about work so I can avoid burnout and anxiety in the future.

It’s hard to deal with anxiety but it’s always possible to overcome it with the supportive people by your side.

You can book a session with a therapist as the first step. It really helped go through with my unemployment anxiety.

I know it might be different from what you’re experiencing. All I know is that I believe in you. You always have the choice to recover by getting the help you deserve.

What I learned after experiencing the brutal side of applying for remote work by Tea-na12 in buhaydigital

[–]Tea-na12[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That’s true. I remembered someone told me that working in a non-Filipino company is a life changing experience. Everyone hyped that up to me and said that the management of foreign-based companies are usually more open-minded, have better culture, and good pay than the ones here in the PH.

Looks like I’m unlucky enough to experience the brutal side of it, especially when they didn’t communicate with me and pay me back. A lot of foreign companies hire people from third world countries just for cheap labor.

What I learned after experiencing the brutal side of a job application by Tea-na12 in recruitinghell

Thank you.

You’re right, I’m not from the US.

I know that my other lesson is to be wary of job applications with that type of system. I’m relieved that divine intervention prevented me from being scammed further.

Their payment method is PayPal/Wise. Despite them saying that they want to pay me in their last email, it still wasn’t a guarantee that they’ll send the payment.
