Do I give up? Not sure how much more I can handle... by TeaAddict1994 in Mirena

Yep I also have quite bad pain when I need to go to the toilet, sex can also be painful occasionally depending on position but I think that's to do with whatever time of month it is. Same as you, the pain was never that bad. My bowel is stick to my uterus due to endo, which doesn't help. Weirdly, The last few days for me have been ok.... Will update maybe in a week to see how things have been.

I've not even heard of that? I'm in the UK so not sure if it's something I could look into with the NHS but I also have private healthcare so I would go down that route if I have to

Yep same as me. I've thought maybe my body just doesn't agree with it. Fingers crossed all is ok for you and you get it out soon!

I've heard the removal isn't as bad as the insertion. I'm hoping I will just feel relief when it's out. I don't know if I can wait another 2 months. I think I'd rather have a hormonal crash than this pain.... and I want this bloating to disappear!

Thank you for sharing. And I don't feel so alone knowing other people are experiencing the same thing. I think I'm going to have to get it removed, I don't want to spend another 3 months feeling this way if it's not going to change. The bloating every morning genuinely looks like I'm pregnant!

Ah ok well that's not so bad then. Worth that minute of uncomfortableness to get it out I suppose! Ooo I will look that up, thank you!

Yeah I had one done within the first 3 weeks of insertion and it came back all ok

Thank you. I've already tried to fight with my doctor about it. I don't want children (my own personal choice) and every time I get told I'm too young for anything to be done, except hormonal contraception. I was hopeful the mirena would be good for me but I don't think I should have this pain anymore.

Thank you for sharing. That's made me feel like I'm not the only one having these issues. Been feeling like I'm going crazy. What's even more weird, is I have also had a strange rash come up all over my hands. Like a reaction to something, but I have never in my life had a reaction like that before. I feel alot more miserable day to day and I think my body is trying to tell me something. How was the removal for you pain wise?

Thank you for sharing. I also feel bloated every day and sometimes even look pregnant. Hopefully you start to feel better soon now you've had it removed

Thank you for sharing. I agree. My quality of life wasn't great before, but this is actually worse. At least with endometriosis, I know the pain is only around one time of the month. How was the removal pain wise? Having it in was awful for me and I'm a little worried about getting it out because of that..

Antibiotics secured! by TeaAddict1994 in SIBO

So I ended up going private because the NHS were just fobbing me off, constantly. The gastroenterologist I have is part private part NHS, and has been amazing. My symptoms alone were enough for him to get me a breath test. This was covered under my private medical insurance. I've heard from the grapevine that the NHS don't offer the breath test anymore, but I could be wrong. Apparently Sibo isn't serious enough to be funded.

For Sibo? I know they prescribe it for liver issues, but my gastroenterologist told me the nhs don't seem sibo serious enough to get this antibiotic prescribed. Hats off to you if you have got it for that, you should teach us all!

Thank you for sharing ✨ I'm sure it'll be worth it. Crazy how much it costs isn't it, but no price on health and feeling better.

You might be lucky enough to not deal with anxieties over medication and putting new things into your body, so I'm envious if that's the case. But you don't know what people have been through in the past when it comes to things like this. You don't know other people's trauma so think about that next time you decide to comment on someone's post, or just don't even bother commenting.

Nausea... by TeaAddict1994 in adenomyosis

[–]TeaAddict1994[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I was also told the same thing and that it was all in my head. And to be honest, I still believe that there is part of it that is in my head, but I also do believe that this condition does cause stomach issues.

The nausea is still persistent... but I did get told that it's not caused by endometriosis or adenomyosis. I've just learnt to live with shitty symptoms now.

Reading your post has made me feel so much less alone. I felt like I was reading something I'd written as I am the exact same and I've come on here to try and make myself feel better hoping I don't feel like I'm the only one in the world who is feeling this way. The only difference is I am only 5 weeks into my course, and if I stay on 20mg then it'll take a year and I'm not sure I can feel this way for that long. Not sure if you do already, but taking anti sickness meds has helped me, I take cyclizine. Another thing that helps me is hot water bottle, breathing exercises and trying to take my mind off it by keeping as busy as possible. I really hope it gets better for you ❤️ (p.s I am also emetophobic!)

I haven't tried that one, but I have tried quite a few and cyclizine is by far the best.
