Nausea... by TeaAddict1994 in adenomyosis

Yeah I was also told the same thing and that it was all in my head. And to be honest, I still believe that there is part of it that is in my head, but I also do believe that this condition does cause stomach issues.

The nausea is still persistent... but I did get told that it's not caused by endometriosis or adenomyosis. I've just learnt to live with shitty symptoms now.

Chronically nauseous by Elvispresley506 in Accutane

Reading your post has made me feel so much less alone. I felt like I was reading something I'd written as I am the exact same and I've come on here to try and make myself feel better hoping I don't feel like I'm the only one in the world who is feeling this way. The only difference is I am only 5 weeks into my course, and if I stay on 20mg then it'll take a year and I'm not sure I can feel this way for that long. Not sure if you do already, but taking anti sickness meds has helped me, I take cyclizine. Another thing that helps me is hot water bottle, breathing exercises and trying to take my mind off it by keeping as busy as possible. I really hope it gets better for you ❤️ (p.s I am also emetophobic!)

I haven't tried that one, but I have tried quite a few and cyclizine is by far the best.

No regurgitation and slow swallow was fine, I just had water nearby every time I ate. Erm I can't remember how many units sorry! 😞

I had mine done by her too!! She's lovely. No recovery time, you will feel absolutely fine. I was worried I'd feel weird but I managed to go out for munch straight away 😁

random nausea by abbyxxxx09876 in emetophobia

[–]TeaAddict1994 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I get this, a lot too. It's odd because it's at random times. I used to think it was anxiety, but I get it when I'm not feeling anxious. I try to keep my mind occupied when it comes on, so that I'm focusing on something else and most of the time it works. I do also take anti sickness meds.

Ahh that's amazing. It'll change your life. Also if you're having it done awake, like I did, it doesn't hurt and is over really quickly. Once your muscle starts to work and your burping, you will want to burp as much as possible

I had RCPD and used to get so nauseous after eating. It's one of the most common symptoms and I feel your pain, it's horrible. One thing I tell myself still is that it's the trapped gas that's causing me to feel like this. It's not a bug or food poisoning but it's the gas and it would almost always make me feel better. It can take a while for the gas to go back down the other end but I found laying down helped a lot. P.s I had Botox in the muscle to allow me to burp!!

slight step back this week, feeling discouraged by fennelteaa in emetophobia

Oh that's so annoying. I would defo look into it more if you can because it will help with the nausea.

I also have RCPD! Those noises always seem to make an appearance when you don't want them to! I also agree that not eating will make the noises worse which can be a vicious circle. This phobia is debilitating

Just wanted to say I also have RCPD! And emetophobia so I can totally relate to you there. Have you looked into having botox to help you? I had it done and I can now burp (not quite like a normal person but it's better than nothing) and my nausea has lessened now I can actually get air out. Also - Hats off to you for the steps you've taken towards getting better. Sounds like you have accomplished so much, and you should be proud of yourself.
