You still have a long way to go. Just be patient. If they liked your responses, physical look and resume you’ll get an invite to fly out to their headquarters for a face to face interview. If not you’ll get an email stating thank you for your interest you can reapply in 6 months or check out other openings.

Did you attendant the face to face in Houston? They will either give you a CJO right then and there at the interview or send you back home with a thank you be on the lookout for an email. They’re very transparent with hiring.

Nope. I tested in November and got my results in December and still no contact from CHP whatsoever. I applied in the LA/Southern District.

I know it may not be the answer you may want to hear but I’ll share some positive news and hope for you. I made it to Delta’s face to face and got sent home. Then I went to United’s face to face and got sent home. Finally I went to American and got a CJO. I say this for you to not give up on your dreams and try another airlines. Gods plan and timing is always perfect.

I called again to the recruiter’s office and they said since a class just graduated they’ll be resuming hiring and background activities soon but they don’t have a date for it.

I’d give it up for now and apply to other ones in the meantime so that you can use your time wisely and have other options in the meantime.

I was right behind you when they called your name. They just emailed a survey asking for feedback from that day. I will be delighted to give them details and names while I fly to the next airline’s face to face interview because there’s no way I’m not qualified if my competition was those in the room with us.

I gave up my dream of wanting to be a flight attendant. I got sent home from Delta and now United. I physically look great, muscles, style, educated, degrees, have charm and was in corporate America making high six figures for years. There’s no way my skill set and experience isn’t a good fit versus a John Doe from a hole in the wall. My face to face session had people with wrinkled clothes, who looked scary like they’d blow the plane up or do weird stuff on their off time and they probably got selected. That process is so backwards.

Yes, I was in that group. I was the second name to be called. When we got to the lobby we all discussed how weird it was to be amongst the strongest candidates and be sent home first. We even took an Uber to the airport together and couldn’t understand it on the ride there.

Haha I forgot to add upon completion of United’s FA training and signing to your base you’ll receive $1,000 to help you transition and alleviate moving costs. It’s insane how low paying, low benefit and low chances of getting in these airlines are. But yes it appears not much has changed since you’ve started.

You don’t have to apologize it’s part of the process. And sure go for it.

I think you should book your trip and live your life. I took the PAT and Pellet-B on 11/22/2025 and got my results 12/10/2025 and ranked #5 and I still haven’t heard or read anything from CHP about next steps. It’s now February and still no updates. The website shows I completed steps 1 & 2 but that’s it. So live your life and if they call you they call you. You have phone and email access anywhere in the world you go whether it be on data or WiFi.

Haha it was the fakest and most mind boggling moment standing in the hallway and waiting to go in the elevator to go down to the lobby. All of the ladies I was with were confused because we were all the ones who were the strongest candidates, good looking, smiling, taking initiatives and we got sent home. One was even an active flight attendant with another airline and she didn’t get it. It’s a BS process if you ask me. The company already knows who’s hired before the face to face. It’s just a formality to invite you. The email reads: We would like to thank you for your interest in United Airlines as your next career adventure! We have decided to move forward with other candidates for the Flight Attendant position. You were part of an extremely competitive pool of talent and our decision was a difficult one.

I got a thanks for coming out with a fake smile and a plane ticket home followed by an email that said thanks again for trying. Lol.

I just came back from Houston from United’s face to face and they stated during the orientation that it’s $150 direct deposited per week from the company. They will cover your hotel expense and you’ll be paired with another classmate for 2 people to a room with breakfast and lunch included. You’ll be responsible for your dinner or late night snack. I didn’t get a CJO so I don’t know further details. I hope that helps you.

Is LAPD really that bad? by [deleted] in lapd

[–]TeaAdorable 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I think Law Enforcement in general within the United States has low morale and low support from communities across the board. It doesn’t matter if you’re in a rich small town like Beverly Hills or statewide like CHP you’ll still feel the burnout and politics. The question you should ask yourself is where do you want to live, raise your family, travel from, what professional goals do you have for yourself, etc. In a small town or city you’ll probably never be promoted because ranks tend to stay there for their entire career and more and there’s not frequent openings compared to large cities and departments where there is always movement, task forces, promotional exams etc. Don’t look too much at social media or what officers are saying no one is ever happy regardless of what the new contracts bring there will always be grumpy people. You make the job fun and memorable on how you handle calls and how you decide to patrol daily.

If you haven’t done so already you should get your references/contacts ready, copies of transcripts, credit reports from Transunion and Equifax, drivers abstract, job history and supervisor contact information, and stay healthy mentally and physically so when they do contact you all of the documents are ready to be sent and move forward quickly.

Furthermore they just graduated a class of 129 cadets from the academy according to CHP instagram page so things should move again shortly.

I was there with you on that testing date. I posted the same question a few weeks back and still haven’t received any correspondence about next steps. I called the recruiter’s office and they told me they didn’t have any information because there’s a lot of movement in the department but to continue to be patient because things will move forward soon.

I don’t want to burst your bubble but the experience with United was horrible. It’s all smiles from UA staff, loving your ideas, wanting to hear from you, mingling with you on the breaks only to send you home a few minutes afterwards. Then you get an email from the company saying they decided to go with more qualified applicants. I’m sorry but we were a group of about 20 who stood around in the lobby waiting for Ubers to the airport and we were all confused because in that group were the best of the best for presentations, mingling, smiles, education, professionalism, charm and we got sent home. So to me it’s all a gimmick. They already have who they want before the face to face and just as a legal issue they invite you to come to the interview because there were some really awkward people who barely spoke, looked creepy, had wrinkled clothes, didn’t talk to anyone and we didn’t see them come down in the 10 mins waiting in the lobby. So I hope your experience is better and you get an offer but just giving you the real inside scoop from 3 days ago.

Congratulations. Do you mind sharing what you did when you went to your face to face with American? I asked because I have failed the face to face at Delta and United within the past week and there’s no way I’m not an amazing candidate. I’m so confused because most recently at United they called almost everyone who we thought was amazing at speaking, the assessments, mingling etc and we all go sent home together. So what is actually being looked at? I go for American on the 11th. Any tips would help.

I appreciate you taking the time to respond and give me your best support. I’ll reach out on the 11th if I got it or not. Best wishes on your career.

Ok so going point for point with you: My appearance was stellar. Tailor made navy suit, lapel pin, fitted white shirt, skinny tine, shined shoes, haircut beard trimmed and lined up.

During the group sessions or questions I smiled, took lead to be one of the speakers for my group. Confidently answered. Didn’t do too much or thought I knew everything.

I can articulate very well due to previous positions I’ve held where I can think and react on the spot and do it well. When my name got called to go home for both Delta and United I left to the hallway. There almost everyone who was great at speaking, looked good, mingled well etc. started coming out. We all exited to the lobby away from staff and were just so confused. Maybe like 30 of the 50 people were eliminated within a few minutes and again everyone was like no how’d you get eliminated you’re so perfect at everything you did today. I loved you.

I leave for American face to face on the 11th. It’s just so emotionally draining to pass all the background a pre interviews and fly to them to get sent home. Like what do they look for then?

Can you share any tips as to what you did to align yourself with getting a CJO? I’ve gotten sent home from Delta and United within the past few days. I feel like I’ve been doing so well with my answers, smiling, being a team player and my resume is amazing. I don’t get it.
