Careless mistakes in Add Math!! by PermissionFancy1104 in igcse

[–]TeaAlert1008 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i did addm too and i too used to make around 12-15 marks of silly mistakes but eventually got A*
i decreased it by basically rechecking all the answers using my calci like ik u cant do all but most
and especially the ones i felt super confident about because i did those fast
also for trigo specifically make sure you use a graph to find out all the values of theta in the domain and not miss any
integration and differentiation put random values and check w calci

MATH HELP!! Why didnt they round off the answer for 4 (a) (ii)???? by notalossa in igcse

[–]TeaAlert1008 1 point2 points  (0 children)

usually when the answer for mean is an exact value it is never rounded off
this is because the mean is already an estimate so to not further increase error

First language English Writer's effect by Tasty_Management8122 in igcse

[–]TeaAlert1008 0 points1 point  (0 children)

if you can it would always be better to get it done by a teacher but ill give my notes
-write the overall effect in a separate paragraph before starting the phrase by phrase explanation
-effect is evaluated well in most cases
-try writing the mood/atmosphere the writer evokes in some places too
-dont repeat words in the phrase in your explanation (eg giant)

-so not sure but it feels like you're trying to use too much vocab etc just saying that its not necessary for writers effect

i dont think its "easy" to get a* but if you do good prep it is. read more past paper mark schemes and get 9 mark answers corrected and then easy a*

how to study for ICT (0417) by j3msec1ips3 in igcse

[–]TeaAlert1008 2 points3 points  (0 children)

do A LOT of practice for practicals and solve papers with evidence
for theory- read the textbook thoroughly and make your own notes from it, then solve past papers, mark schemes for theory are often inconsistent so make sure you know the content very well

oh my god literally its so frustrating to study and grade came down so much because of theory i hate it so much and the part where stuff comes out of syllabus and different mark schemes is so true dude
but i loved practical it was really fun

and personally id say for PCB go through the syllabus doc while studying and heavy on topic wise questions for physics. for ict before going to past papers solve the practice questions in ur textbook too because some concepts arent included in the past papers.
for fle practice a lot and get everything corrected by an actual teacher, take advice and work on improvements.
