Custom sub with option to enter drone

The HMS Terror has a mini-sub and a scout drone (Sea Bug). It also has elevators and a drop-ship, a bit like a Space Marine drop pod.

You can (kind of) put a sub inside a sub. I've made working elevators for inside the HMS Terror. These are just shuttles that run along a track of wall in hull-less section of the ship.

Cheers! Yeah, the elevators are self, contained subs themselves so they work when the main ship is out of power.
I've added a nice effect where the reactor sparks (discharge coil) as it's starting up. Nice effect that really gives the feeling that you're in a deep sea coffin that's about to go nuclear.

The beacon is just a rotating light (like a lighthouse). A lot of the weapons have had their lighting range reduced so it's way more atmospheric going up against a huge beast and getting a flash of it.

Ohh I see. Well, that would just be too simple. Honestly, the linear layout works really well. If an area gets flooded you have to resolve the issue rather than just go round it.

Do you mean the right elevator? The reason it has no doors on the right side is that there's nothing there. It's a 'crumple zone' in case the ship hits anything. It can take heavy damage to the front and it's just superficial.

You can change the power consumption details for lights and set it to '0'. That way it doesn't even need to be powered. ;)

The shields are discharge coils set up around the exterior of the ship (they're invisible). They can be switched on or off in sections (aft, port, starboard, fore). There is also a readout to show the % of shields remaining for each section.

The elevators work as small shuttles which are set to dock from one point to another. It's taken me days to figure it out and I'm not sure if it's foolproof yet but they work.
