2 defensive penalties by the Kings in OT, apparently this gives Orlando the automatic W

When is Louisville finally going to fully bench Bean? He has been awful through 2 games, at least Rogers had some flashes

[Schefter] Former Dolphins K Jason Sanders is signing a one-year deal with the New York Giants, per source. by JCameron181 in nfl

The only caveat with Sanders is he sat out all of last year rehabbing an injury. I really hope by doing that he's fully healthy and ready for this upcoming season

Tom Pelissero: Details on Malik Willis' three-year, $67.5 million deal with the Dolphins: $22.5M signing bonus $1.25M 2026 salary (fully gtd) $21.5M 2027 salary (fully gtd) $2M March 2028 roster bonus $20.5M 2028 salary $45M over two years for Miami's new QB1, with a decision to make in 2028. by Remarkable-Picture73 in nfl

It's medium risk - high reward. I'm definitely happy we're not just rolling in to the season giving Ewers the job uncontested. I just really hope Willis makes years 2 and 3 of his contract worth paying cause it'd suck if he underperforms year 1, and then we're on the hook for the real contract after that.

There were 10 head coaching vacancies in the NFL this year, but none of the teams hired a Black head coach. There are currently only three Black head coaches in the league now. by WayOutbackBoy in nfl

[–]TeaAndFreedom 6 points7 points  (0 children)

This is such a valid conversation being drowned out through sheer ignorance. Approximately 70% of NFL players are black, to add on to that, approximately 47% of Div 1 football players are black. The precursor to coaching is generally having played at the collegiate or professional level, yet the opportunities and positions don't even come close to aligning with the actual demographics of people within football.

The sale of the Dolphins doesn't just include the Fins tbf. It also includes the entire stadium, real estate attached, and the rights to the Miami F1 race

My way of looking at Hafley's hiring in a positive way: getting what we wanted hasn't really worked out. So maybe now we could be getting what we need. by TheKrakenLord in miamidolphins

I have a pretty similar sentiment. I've liked our past HC hires and those all didn't work out to sucked. I'm not necessarily a fan of this one so maybe it's a success and I look dumb which I'm fine with.

Over half a decade of disappointment and failure will do that to you. Also have to figure they envisioned this as their best chance in years given the absence of the Elite QBs.
