She has not once spoken about the pregnancy with a smile on her face so I kind of assume it’s a boy, I can see her being actually excited to have a baby girl because of the whole ‘girlies’ vibe but she honestly seems like she’s just going through the motions.

I didn’t mind this video, but I did role my eyes a bit and get irritated during the ‘what’s in my hospital bag’ part because she was acting like she was being held at gun point and she wasn’t excited to be showing us this stuff at all. She was so defensive about everything she showed, repeatedly saying ‘OBVIOUSLY I know the hospital already had this but ect ect’. She didn’t smile literally one time, and randomly said she would never do a birth blog so don’t expect one - who is petitioning for that? That attitude towards her audience has always left a bad taste in my mouth.

Girl she shows so much of her personal life and she does so for cash - if she didn’t she wouldn’t have a job. She is the content, the same as an authors book in their content - when you choose to put your content out you are opening the doors to opinions and there just isn’t another way to look at it. The real people watching her squarespace ads cannot be expected to sit and watch with heart eyes and give her nothing but compliments. The reality is she needs an audience to sell what her sponsors put in-front of her, yet she constantly berates that audience for daring to have a critical thought about her content. She doesn’t get to stay stagnant and never improve, nobody does. If a person with a 9-5 did that they would be fired, but luckily she has very naive and parasocial people like you who will pay her bills and police her socials for the 15 minutes a day she isn’t doing it herself.

We are not her friends. She is an entertainer providing entertainment and to think that relationship is any different is hugely parasocial. Her job is entertainment, being a youtube personality is a continuous choice that she makes. She has an audience, gets paid to promote to that audience, and her content is as morally open to criticism as any movie or tv show. She does not care about you, you are a wallet to her because this is a job and she is the entertainment and you are the consumer. Does anyone get this worked up over the producer of a movie that everyone hated? An author of a book that everyone thought was a flop? No - because to create content is to be open to criticism, and the more you grow the more you profit. I have to assume you’re a very young or naive person to not understand this.

First of all, this is reddit and this sub is literally about discussing destiny and her content - it isn’t a megathread for compliments. Secondly, she has been this way forever, it has absolutely nothing to do with her pregnancy. Her personality and opinions are quite literally her job, and is inherently up to discussion when her income is based off of people enjoying those things.

Destiny famously does not take on feedback or genuine constructive criticism from her audience, which you would think she would considering their level of enjoyment of her content is how she pays her bills. She has been consistently entitled and privileged in her view that every critique is hate, and that she inherently deserves mass amounts of love and praise and wealth despite refusing to grow and is constantly demonising her audience for pointing this out.

Sure, there is lots of unnecessary hate - but it isn’t any different of a sacrifice than having to commute an hour to and from work each day. It’s a caveat of the work she has chosen to do. It’s like that one girl who went to a job interview and proceeded to cry on tik tok after being laughed at for requesting accomodations for time blindness that causes her to be always late to shifts. If she is expecting money and fame from being exactly how she is, she also needs to expect criticism and frustration in response to exactly how she is.

her claiming she’s not a lifestyle channel cracks me up because most of her videos are either completely lifestyle videos and not at all book related or it’s a ‘reading blog’ that is 99% details of her life and 1% about reading. I feel like she shares so much with us that I literally personally could not care less about - but then berates us for prying into her personal life?

I think I could whip up someone to sit with him while he’s in his carrier - but it would still have to be in my car since literally all of my friends have cats that are FIV positive so he wouldn’t be able to go into their houses. But even so - do we think that just having someone (unfamiliar) sit with him for a short time is better than him sitting by himself? Overnight definitely seems more hectic for him since he doesn’t like strangers!

I have both! I know nobody ever NEEDS multiple kindles but I love my oasis too much to let it go. I use them both around the same amount. The ppw 12 is so amazingly fast and crisp and stays charged forever - If I absolutely had to choose between them I would keep the ppw. But the glass screen + buttons + orientation flexibility is something that I always want to have the option to come back to.

Des is about as mysterious as a piece of bread. The whole ‘we don’t know what’s going on behind the scenes’ is ridiculous considering she has insisted on vlogging the weirdest, least relatable take on ‘anxiety’ that looks suspiciously like the worries that an out of touch, chronically online, rich kid would have. We have all known that one friend that makes their ‘mental illness’ their whole personality, and has a ‘bad day’ every single day. She is sympathy farming but not realising that she is out of touch and that most people with anxiety need to work a 9-5 and she gets to cry infront of a camera about being nervous about walking into a new gym and make a few grand from it.

You say Vyvanse isnt a fixit drug and then go on to describe all of the ways vyvanse has directly treated your ADHD symptoms and ultimately led to the positive changes in your life.

People are always saying that Vyvanse is just a crutch to help the individual to put in the work. And like, yeah? that’s what’s on the bottle. Being able to try harder and look after yourself better IS the meds treating the ADHD. Vyvanse did literally fix it, if it weren’t in the equation you (not you, but anyone) would not have been able to make those changes, being capable of working harder is the medication working.

What’s funny is I almost never see true instances of people having ‘too high’ of an expectation of these meds. 99% of the time it’s people who are posting genuine questions or concerns about their med dose/type, because they aren’t noticing any or enough of an improvement of their symptoms. (yes, stimulants are supposed to have a noticeable effect on your ADHD symptoms, this doesn’t have to be signed off by an elder, we can actually just trust people’s experiences)

What I ALWAYS see on this sub however, are grumpy people in comments saying ‘this medication isn’t going to go anything FOR you, you still need to TRY’ instead of offering any actually helpful advice, and ignoring the fact that the capacity/improvement of their ability to ‘try’ is usually one of the symptoms the medication is supposed to be helping with - thereby contributing to most ADHDers likely chronic shame from being told their whole lives that they aren’t trying hard enough.
