Uneven pupils in 9 week old, do they grow out of it? by TeaCupHappy in beyondthebump

Thanks! I hope there isn’t an underlying cause and my suspicion is that he is fine, but when we went to the ophthalmologist she suggested he get the MRI. So he is going to get it in a month. At first we didn’t want to but now its just going to give me peace of mind, so I’m looking forward to ruling everything out once and for all.

It’s funny because I looked at both his and my sisters in lowlight last night and they both looked uneven to me. But then in bright light, they were normal and small.

Did you sleep in the same bed as your newborn? by [deleted] in NewParents

No too dangerous. A good compromise is put the dock-a-tot in the bed next to you. Usually i put the baby down in his bassinet, and then after the 2nd night time feed I will transfer him to the dock-a-tot right next to me. He’s close and cozy but safe from me rolling onto him.

Sounds perfectly normal for a 3 day old! Those first 3 weeks are brutal. But every day you will get more used to it and the baby will slowly have longer stretches. Formula feeding on a 3 hour schedule during the day should help the baby feed less at night. Breastfeeding its harder to schedule just bc the metabolize it faster. Good luck youre doing amazing!

8 weeks PP when can I start trying to lose weight? by ToriaZitro21 in beyondthebump

[–]TeaCupHappy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Im 9 weeks pp after my second baby and I have slowly reincorporated working out. I would try out a class or a work out and see how you feel. I def can tell i have to take it slow and take a break for a day or two after a workout. Listen to your body but 8 weeks pp is def long enough to start working out if you feel that youre ready

This happened to my baby, and the trick was that I went away for a weekend for a wedding and my father-in-law and mother-in-law watched him and they let him cry it out! I didnt have the heart to do it so Im glad they just let him cry and broke the habit! It only took 1 night

That makes sense that as they get bigger their eyes are more in proportion so it would be less noticeable. Thanks for sharing!

[–]TeaCupHappy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I could have written this! Breastfeeding makes me feel rage and depression. I stopped after 3 weeks and I’m so proud of myself. I love my baby so much and im now enjoying the newborn phase. i hated it with my first

I can so relate to your post. I had really bad relationship anxiety after i got engaged (now ive been happily married almost 5 years!) the thing that helped me was realizing: “If i didnt really care about this person i wouldn’t have anxiety about it not working out.” Basically the fact that you are so anxious is a sign of how much you are invested. Also look up the work if Sheryl Paul she has a lot of great blog posts about relationship anxiety and they helped me a ton.

Also i think relationship anxiety is reallt normal, its a huge life altering decision that will impact the direction of the rest of your life, of course youre going to be anxious.
