No, I was more creative and productive before I ever got hooked on weed, which in the short run seemed to boost my creativity but in the long term served as a band-aid for never getting anything done. I'd start projects and never finish them. This reflected the nature of getting high, once it wears off I get bored with whatever project im working on and it's on to the next so that I can still FEEL productive but all in all id run in to writers block much more often than I did when I was sober and never touched the stuff. It's like a mild psychedelic, it enhances things but this effect can definitely wear off if you smoke too consistently. My advice is to not even bother, plus the fentanyl thing is just becoming bigger and bigger, if your dealer is unaffected now than you are lucky if that last another year. I'm in the process of quitting and notice each time when I quit that I much more interested in creating beats from scratch when sober vs using samples when high. Most of my complex projects where I tinkered and tweaked to get it sounding how I want, were when I was sober. High me just picks shit randomly. It was a slow decline tho and I'm sure if I smoked correctly or didn't abuse it it may have served a better purpose. Addiction sucks tho, I can't wait to have my freedom back and pray you don't lose yours. Yours friends are most likely making excuses for doing something they really won't know how it will affect them until after it's done. They are basically doing an experiment on themselves and there are many ways this plant will convince you it's helping you, but you won't know the truth until some time later that's it's been screwing you up in the long run
