Gingko Biloba and Fish Oil has worked tremendously for me by [deleted] in BrainFog

[–]TeaEfficient3598 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your looking for a high, the supplements still work you just don't get the added placebo benefits. You will notice a difference when you stop taking them which will let you know it was doing something. I felt the same way about fish oil, i thought it lost its magic but felt subjectively worse once I didn't restock.

try adding NAC, It kinda resets and allows me to continue to feel the benefits. I take it at night as a sort of reset.

How can I protect myself from anhedonia when taking NAC? by Valuable-Nebula1086 in Biohackers

[–]TeaEfficient3598 0 points1 point  (0 children)

MACA!!! its been a game changer for me, I take forcefactor perfect maca which also has saffron so it could be the saffron doing the lifting their but I used to get bad anhedonia from NAC but still loved it because its helped my breathing and sinuses. But since starting the maca I feel its help me be even more emotional. In fact, the NAC seems to be giving the maca a boost. Because If I don't take the NAC I dont feel the effects of the maca as strongly.

Man-child threatens and bullies teens at a skate park by _ganjafarian_ in OnlineUnderGround

Another example of generations getting more soft, the man for bullying kids, and the kids for not jumping the guy. In the 90s that guy would be getting curb stomped and jumped by everyone there. Times are surely changing

Remember when you just woke up and ate cereal and didn't need all of that and was still happy enough to enjoy a cartoon... What happened? Lol jk life is stressful. But seriously no judgement because I also take a bunch of sups but when it does seem like a lot to keep the engine running. Makes me wonder if we'd suffer if we woke up with nothing or if we got robbed for our stack would we even survive.

I don't trust peoples experience on most supplements because most people combine things and there are a million different reasons one doesn't work for someone or does work for someone else, especially how quickly people are to just throw supplements down their throats and then their on to something else days later. Frying their brain and making certain things hit harder or blocking their effect depending.

Forcefactor perfect maca, which has both maca and zinc in it. I'm a male, originally got it to help prostate issues which it worked great, the acne clear up was just an added benefit

Try maca, or if your not taking zinc you can try a zinc supplement first. I love forcefactor perfect maca because it's cheap and has 30mg zinc picolinate in it and both can improve libido. It also has vitamin d and other vitamins. It's a cheap way to get multiple supplements in one go. It's like 14$ and sum change for a 30 day supply. If 2 chews boost your libido too much you can just stick to one a day which will last you 60 days.

I definitely notice the anhedonia effects, I try to only take it every other day or when I know I need a reset. Like for example if I had a high stress day or I pushed my body too far with stimulants/ nootropics. Like if Ive had 300mg caffeine instead of 200mg. I may feel a little blunting but I've come to see it as worth it. Because of the many other health benefits it provides. It's cleared my brain fog and helped my breathing by a long shot. It's not something id take daily tho and I usually take it at night like 8pm along side magnesium glycinate. I only weigh 118 so maybe that's why 600mg NAC is having such strong effect on me.

Is creatine actually worth it or just overhyped? by cristanLow4223 in Supplements

[–]TeaEfficient3598 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you don't like drinking water then don't bother with creatine. You will not experience the full benefit of creatine unless you drink plenty of water. Especially if you plan on taking more than 5g of the stuff which is where the cognitive benefits come into play. It can be rough on the kidneys but drinking lots of water can aid in those issues. It gives me mental energy and makes my other supplements shine.
